This year has been pretty crazy for sleeper hits...Lovely Runner, The Judge From Hell, and now When The Phone Rings...shows that nobody was anticipating and got little to no promotion compared to the traditional big names and all 3 of them ended up being superior to the most anticipated dramas this year! Like I wouldn't even have heard about WTPR if I hadn't already added it to my watchlist last year after reading the summary purely by chance. This is why I love drama fans. Content before popularity!

And the show itself deals with a president's spokesperson and references to the president and his office...that's gotta be a bit insensitive for the general public of SK for a while especially on a national channel like MBC...besides other shows like Marry You are also postponed so this is expected

This sounds similar to the cdrama Love Game in Eastern Fantasy, loved that show! In general too, this plot has a cdrama feel to it. Hope its entertaining and fun

Song Joong Ki even did a cameo as Vincenzo in Queen of Tears. So many dramas have referenced Vincenzo. Surely if Extraordinary Attorney Woo is getting a sequel, Vincenzo should too, right...? I can't name one show with this premise/trope from this year. I for one am tired of all the puppy-eyed MLs whining after the FLs in dramas this year and am absolutely seated for this one. To each their own I guess 🤷‍♀️
