I have just finished episode 5 ... It seems to be creating a love square ! Is there a fair share of romance in…
I finished 21 episodes already and nope, romance almost doesn't exist at all lmao I personally liked that it didn't have that much romance since I hated both female leads. The male leads have more chemistry together than any of them had with female characters. If they turned this drama into BL it would be much better honestly, especially since it was clear male leads cared about each other the most.
I don't mind the height difference, but I do hate the whole aegyo voice females use and the overly talkative and…
Yeah so they are 17-18 right? That's still considered minor in Korea. In some other countries 18 is considered adults, but in some Asian countries people are only considered that and are allowed to drink when they are 19-21.
Ep 11 : 1- They really had no other choice to spice the plot a bit, but to add that accident thing?! Did they actually realize the drama became awfully boring so they decided to go all the way and harm ML? Then make his ex be with him so FL gets jealous and shit...seriously everything about this plot is painfully childish that even having adult characters can't help at all. Plot is getting a bit confusing at times, they try too hard to make it complex or whatever, but it's backfiring.
2- At first I preferred the ML character over the stupid FL who constantly made dumb mistakes both in personal and work life. Now ML is kinda getting on my nerves, FL personality improved but the ML's is going downhill. He feels blank as hell mostly and act like a total brat every now and then.
3- The second leads, why do they exist? Why can't they just stop giving them screen time? I'm already so tired of them. They just exist to make the watchers pissed off and bother main leads with their endless immature bullshit. Why does second male lead nag about his damn wife to the FL? Why should she listen and care? It doesn't make sense at all! Why is he so freaking brazen?!
4- That conversation between main leads. I couldn't take it seriously when ML said that he isn't a kid, I know it was supposed to be deep, but it didn't feel that way. It kind of sounded like him saying "sorry for being irresponsible but that is how I'm, I get that it doesn't work well for you so if you want us to break up then that will be it" I don't get if it should be considered admirable since at least he is being honest or selfish and immature.
5- I still can't bring myself to care about the side characters, like that senior forecaster, his daughter, and gloomy wife. FL's sister and glasses dude or the older co-worker and her family issue. I like both older co-worker and the glasses dude, but I don't care about their love lives and family crap.
6- FL needs to get into a relationship with actual men of same level whom she can spend the rest of her life with without them ruining it all. First one is selfish, shameless, immature, controlling, and stupid as hell. Second boyfriend is childish, bland, and irresponsible. Both don't really fit her. She needs someone who will help her become confident and rise her up, not guys who would stress and distract her all the time. What's the point of being in a relationship that makes you miserable, confused, and anxious...she might not realize it and still desire to be with him, but that doesn't seem like a good relationship to me.
7- Her mother is still not learning her fucking lesson?! I know this will be harsh, but I want her to just die or disappear from the plot somehow. She is the most annoying character in the drama, even more annoying than second leads with her retarded stone age mentality which only suffocates her daughter to death. Marriage and love can't be shoved down someone's throat like that! As the older she should be more wise not be that selfish, nosy, and controlling. It's as if her daughter gonna die if she doesn't get married, why does she even need a man in her life when she is that successful and all?! What's the rush?
8- Glad that FL confronted the second male lead in the end of the episode to make him see how much of a douchebag he is. Still I don't understand why main leads like each other to begin with, they would make a good friends or work partners I guess, but they don't feel like lovers at all even after long 11 episodes.
9- Again with the ML's father...they are trying so hard to make the plot serious, like damn.
Finally finished this drama, I really liked the episodes up to episode 10, but after that I started losing interest. I usually prefer dark plots and the less romance and fluff the better for me, yet with this drama, I actually liked the first half that was focused on the youth, their friendships, and issues they had to go through as student in the police academy. The moment the plot shifted to the whole corruption, psychopath characters, murderers...etc it started feeling a bit boring for me since I watched like 10000 of similar dramas. Also there were many unbelievable moments and in the last two episodes it felt as if I was watching a super cliché 2000 Japanese drama/anime with the whole young people being overly capable, and the nakama/friendships bond that somehow gives you super powers against the obviously way more capable villains bullshit. Plot felt a bit rushed at times and I honestly didn't care that much about that guy student death even though I liked him, for some reason I couldn't feel sad, just blank. Overall it wasn't a bad drama, just not that great for me. The actors did pretty well, Kang Daniel was decent, considering it's his first role ever. Female lead was annoying at first, but got much better in the end. I disliked Hana from start till the end and I hated the romance revolving her. I know her character improved, but I couldn't really care.
I mean the cliche storyline is intended by the writer tho and also the A3 is a cheaper version of f4 hahah. The…
I personally like many female leads in other dramas like Hwang Jin Yi, Empress Ki, The Devil Judge (The villain female), Mr. Queen, Hotel Del Luna, Start-Up, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Weightlifiting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Your Eyes Tell, 1 Litre of Tears, Gokusen, The Tale of Nokdu, F4 Thailand, True Beauty...etc but yeah honestly most female leads in Asian dramas are awful. I can't stand the amount of cringe in this drama even if it's for parody's sake, so I will probably drop it, thanks for explaining anyway. Male leads are mostly much better written than female characters and yeah the actors are quite hot 99% of the time.
Way to many misunderstandings, the level of non-communication in this drama is so frustrating. Han Ki Jun and…
As an obvious fan of Song Kang, I totally agree with what you said about his acting. I did talk about it on a comment I wrote about episode 9. It's true that his acting isn't perfect and among all the characters he played till this day, he only nailed the ones in Navillera and Sweet Home in my opinion. His other characters all feel the same, they have the same expressions, same vibe, same everything. His character in Forecasting Love and Weather is quite weak written (Which isn't his fault) but his acting became bland and repetitive real quick and it doesn't help with the weak role. Both leads here feel as if they were forced to date, no chemistry. Nothing at all. I also hate the FL's mother, she gets on my nerves greatly. I highly dislike the FL's acting overall as well. For me Song Kang is better at least. I kept criticizing this drama's obvious issues and yet got attacked personally all the time by others thanks to it. I don't mind others disagreeing, as long as they do it respectfully since they have the right to criticize as much as I do. Don't worry about sharing your honest opinion about shows and the actors skills. You have the right to do so as long as you're not attacking other watchers personally or insulting them for liking this drama, it's all cool.
Ep 10 : 1- "She is past the marriage age" really?! Can the FL's mother be more rude?! She is viewing her daughter as some expired product that must be taken care of as fast as possible. I seriously hate her mother, I'm starting to hate her more than the seconds leads at this point. Glad her daughter told her to mind her own business. The mother is being creepy as hell! She is even encouraging her older daughter to help her do this shit. Yeah, her saying it's for her daughter's sake is quite the selfish behavior, let your daughter decide, she is the one getting married not you. You can't force such things. Glad her daughter confronted her and Shi Woo agreed with her. That made me satisfied. It might've hurt the mother feelings but she deserved it. Being a parent doesn't make your child your toy or slave who follow your orders blindly, nor that you truly know 100% about your kid and what makes them happy.
2- Well, finally the second male lead stopped acting like a lunatic around FL. He is behaving and talking like a decent grown up overall. They now feel like normal co-workers than ex lovers which is great.
3- The drama is getting even more boring and depressing lmao I know many people will not like this opinion (Remember it's my personal opinion, you can disagree or whatever, it's your right so don't attack me over it. Just ignore my comment and move on), but that's how I feel. I'm super sure if the cast weren't popular and attractive (Especially main leads) this drama would probably flop hard. At the beginning the watcher would think it will be a mature type of rom coms as some change from the tons of teen rom coms that are filled with cheesy, crazy, and childish brats that like to create drama and fight over the stupidest things, but it turned out to be the same just with grown ups acting like brats which is worse...it's changing a bit in these last episodes, yet it got painfully boring. I think 12 episodes would be more than enough for this sort of plot. Only 10 episodes and it's already giving draggy vibe. There is barely comedy or romance anymore, just a bunch of adults having issues and being miserable and stressed all the time. The main leads have no spark at all between them now, their chemistry is basically dead. Other characters are either uninteresting or get on your nerves. I wonder though if the leads will get married or not after all this crap. Will Shi Woo change his mindset and decide to rely his "burdens" on the FL? I guess that's about the only question I would bother keep watching to know the answer to, apart from that I couldn't care less about anything else.
4- Again with the mistakes in work...this is also getting tiresome to watch. This will sound harsh but the whole accident thing that's gonna happen next episode seems like a last attempt to make the drama a bit interesting, dramatic, and help main leads to get closer. I won't lie and say it surprised me or that I would care even if the ML goes blind or something of the sort (Even though I love Song Kang, but his character here is weak. Even his awful characters in Nevertheless and Love Alarm were more interesting). I think I'm really not attached to any character in this drama due to them not being that well written.
I think you should start Eternal Love from episode 10 on, you are missing Ye Hua story. Mark Chao is just so amazing…
Yeah I also don't like the ML and FL visuals. Since you seem to like ML so much, I will give this drama another chance later just like I said. I don't have issues with the ML acting, it's just that I dislike the character himself. Thanks for the video link by the way.
its not even about having more romantic scenes between leads for me but with so many ways to create drama and…
I agree! The way they are handling the plot, makes it so childish and unbearable to watch half of the time. Even teens rom coms can be more mature than this. I really got sick of the second leads immature crap already. They did show a bit of improvement by the end of episode 9, yet I still hate them and can't help but roll my eyes whenever they appear on screen.
I see you are still sticking around, lol. I have dropped. It became too boring and I still couldn't see any chemistry…
For me as long as no one in the couple is a literal hag/geezer then I will be cool with it. Yeah she looks much older which might make their chemistry even worse in a way, but I like the overall concept of FL older than ML for a change. Asian dramas are filled with super childish and annoying FL characters that try so hard to act all cute and innocent and it makes me cringe to death. Yeah, I still didn't give up for Song Kang's sake and I can see some slow improvement in the drama, though I still highly doubt I will give this drama a high rating. Yet for me, it's still better than Nevertheless. That drama pissed me off greatly with the amount of toxicity! Lmao
