To be honest, sorry if this might sound offensive to you but this was your comment that I appreciate the more…
Yeah, I like to be super honest even if it means being blunt. That's why I might come off as a jerk to others at times. But to me as long as I'm not personally insulting someone, I won't bother to sugar coat my opinions. If I happen to like something I will also mention it even if I hate 99% of others things. Glad that you realized that I wasn't trying to be a toxic hater and I don't mind others disagreeing with me, it's them calling me names and being hurtful to me over a show what irked me. Thanks for understanding and you're welcome!
The girl pretending yo be a guy, isnt even part of history right ? Anyways .. can u tell me in whuch episode do…
You're welcome! Glad I helped. Yeah Wang Yu's war scenes were a bit boring most of the time so I understand. Also no she knows it's Wang Yu who rescued her and the other slaves back then. That's one of the biggest reasons she admired him so much. I liked that they didn't make her mistake the Yuan emperor as the one who did that. He was in Yuan back then and had no control over what happens in Goryeo so he couldn't do it anyway.
I think you should start Eternal Love from episode 10 on, you are missing Ye Hua story. Mark Chao is just so amazing…
Oh, I see. Honestly I don't like the FL and ML at all. They never caught my interest. Only character I was a bit interested in is demon prince. I kinda was interested in the white haired dude too, but everything else made me extremely bored. I will skip 10 episodes like you said and see how it goes, but that won't happen anytime soon since I already have lots of dramas on my watch list right now and I rather finish them first.
I miss Hajiwon so much. I wish she could play a female lead in a historical drama again. I don't like the famous…
Yeah, she is really good and fitting for the historical roles. She nails the strong FL acting pretty well. Many recent actresses aren't that good at such roles and they just try hard to be cool which makes watching unbearable.
okay, I just finished this in 9 days and I am so impressed. I didn´t expect such a fantastic story which will…
I finished 30 episodes in four days and planning to finish rest of 21 episodes in the next three days. I'm also impressed that I didn't get sick of the drama yet lmao
My only complaint is that it felt like the "war" scenes especially with Wang Yu were quite boring and i had to…
Personally, I'm more into war stuff than the whole concubines and queens stabbing each other in the back to make the emperor fuck and impregnate them more. I couldn't care less about the women drama, but I gotta admit the palace part in this drama is better than war with the king. I still hate the palace stuff, but they are more bearable cause both the FL and the emperor are super interesting characters. The actor and actress are doing great job to portray them. They are the reason I kept watching.
The girl pretending yo be a guy, isnt even part of history right ? Anyways .. can u tell me in whuch episode do…
Yeah, Honestly this is the longest Korean drama I have ever watched. I'm used to tons of episodes in Chinese dramas, I even watched ones with 60 or even more than 100 episodes so thanks to it, I managed to become way more patient when it comes to that. The issue is, they tend to be draggy as hell thanks to the amount of episodes. This happens even more with Kdramas. Even 16 only Kdramas can become a pain in the ass to watch at times so I got into skipping some scenes although I hate doing that. Surprisingly I never skipped any part in Empress Ki since I started watching. You need to be patient so you reach the parts you want to watch.
Ep 9 : 1- The second leads are seriously getting on my nerves. Like let the main leads enjoy their lives and do whatever they want, why do you keep bothering them?! Especially after all the bullshit they put them through. They think they have the right to judge them and pretend to know what's best for them?! They keep getting more irritating every passing episode, Instead of that crap, they should just focus on their own issues. At least the main leads discuss their emotions and thoughts all the time which I find quite healthy. Lack of communication is one of the biggest hurdles any relationship could face. The second male lead even went as far as stalking them like a creep, it's as if the FL is his wife and she is cheating on him with Shi Woo. I guess that part was supposed to be funny but it made me want to beat him up for real. Why did she even lie to him and tell him they weren't dating? He already saw them kissing and all so telling him straight to his face that they are dating would be the K.O instead of lying and trying to hide it as if she is scared of him judging her.
2- Again the FL mother is also bothering me with her obsessing about marrying her daughters as if they are living in the middle ages when women could barley live properly without men and they were forced to marry even if they weren't ready for it. Her younger daughter is successful, pretty, living on her own normally, and all. If she wants a man she can have many waiting in line whenever she likes. She doesn't need a man to take care of her, she isn't a kid. Her older daughter can also live on her own and do whatever she desire. They both went through messy relationships and heartbreak so rushing to get into new ones isn't the right thing to do.
3- Well the trip part of the main leads in this episode was cute. Hope they do that more, instead of being stressed over work and others finding out about them dating, they can chill and have fun like normal couples. I like that the FL is acting more cheerful, youthful, and relaxed, I don't like her stuck up, cold, and blank side she was keeping in the beginning. It's a sign she is really falling for ML. Also something that I really like about this drama is the fact that the FL is older, most couples in dramas are either same age or the male is older so seeing an older FL who isn't literally a hag is nice. I won't lie and say that I'm crazy about them or they will ever be in my top couples list, but they are slowly improving.
4- I'm a Song Kang fan (Which is obvious from my profile picture), but I will have to admit his acting isn't perfect. I don't know, most of his characters feel the same for some reason although they are different. I find his acting much better than Park Min Young whom I don't like her acting at all, but he still needs more practice. Yes, he did act many different roles. From the playboy, bold, jackass in Nevertheless, the frustrated, obsessed, and kinda creepy teen in Love Alarm, the emotional, unfortunate young guy who deals with many issues in his life in Navillera, the depressed, emotionless, bullied protagonist in Sweet Home, and lastly the cheerful, energetic, straightforward, and talented newbie here. I like that about him and believe that any actors/actress should always try different roles and nail them to be considered true actor. They also need to know how to show their emotions without words, just with their eyes at times. I'm not saying his acting is bad, it's not bad at all, just not 100% level still. He was great in Sweet Home and Navillera, I won't criticize his acting in these two dramas. They were his best and fit him pretty well. They were the reason I became his fan to begin with. No matter what I will stay his fan and watch all his works to see him grow and reach that level. I believe he can do it.
5- The two male leads working together and talking was a nice addition. It's good that the second male leads talked quietly with him instead of throwing hands like a thug and admitted that he was at fault for making FL miserable. Shi Woo faced him with confidence unlike FL which is good to the point where second male lead confessed that Shi Woo is a good guy (100000000 times better than him clearly). I guess he is finally maturing in a way after the crap he done in the start of the episode. Now he just need to give his wife the attention and love he is supposed to.
6- They are really trying to create jealousy between that forecaster older dude's wife and the FL?! As if the jealousy of the second leads wasn't awful enough, now they add more annoying jealousy of equally annoying characters...I don't care about the forecaster and his wife story, nor I want them to waste too much screen time on them.
7- Oh, the ML is making a mistake in work I guess! It's nice seeing the FL doing the comforting and being a wise leader for the first time unlike her freaking out constantly in first episodes. She also handled the interview well. She is getting better work wise so I'm glad.
8- The ML not believing in marriage is a bit of an issue honestly. What's the point of being in a long term relationship with someone who doesn't want to be fully serious and spend the rest of their lives and grow old with with you. I personally don't want to marry any time soon and I'm not saying every relationship should be about marriage, but if I happen to find someone worthy enough, I might consider it cause that is the right thing in such a case. Here it's an issue since the FL clearly wants to marry meanwhile ML doesn't, so their relationship will go downhill fast if they don't have an agreement. The FL might think Shi Woo is messing with her or just wants some fun time which would be super bad after her failed marriage with the second ML. If they both want a one night stand, friends with benefits, or an open relationship thing, that's cool, but when someone is serious and his partner isn't, that's a big no and waste of effort.
(Reminder: As I said in my comment of the previous episode. If anyone finds my comments negative or bad, then just ignore them. Don't insult me personally, or attempt start world war III with me over a freaking drama. I can judge the drama, acting...etc as much as like since I have the right and this website is created for this purpose. If you disagree with my opinions then you do you, enjoy the drama, praise the acting and everything. I won't bother you over it so don't bother me as well. If you want a respectful, mature discussion about it and share your opinions then sure, I would love to. But don't be super rude, hateful and call me names for no good reason).
The girl pretending yo be a guy, isnt even part of history right ? Anyways .. can u tell me in whuch episode do…
Yeah, that didn't happen in history, even the love triangle didn't happen and the king wasn't as great and good as they made him in this drama according to what I read here so the drama is just inspired by history, yet doesn't 100% follow it. You should mostly view it as fiction using real people as characters actually.
By the fall in love part you mean her falling in love with the king or the emperor? About the king they basically become lovers after episode 20. About the emperor, I watched 26 episodes so far and she still isn't really into him that way. Both the emperor and king fall for her since the time she was pretending to be a man yet they kept denying it since they thought she was a guy, as soon as they figured she is a girl they started viewing her romantically.
ji chang wook. or the emperor toghon temur. its actually based of a real thing that happened. the last king of…
They probably made Wang Yoo all great since he is Korean and they wanted to make the king of Goryeo/Korea as badass as possible since it's a Kdrama lmao
This whole girl pretending to be a male and everyone believing that shit even though she is clearly a freaking female is kinda driving me crazy. I really hate this trope! Especially because they always cast super feminine actresses for the roles. Like they aren't even androgynous looking. Many male actors can pass as females, but it's hard for most actresses to actually look like males. Anyway Ha Ji Won is such an amazing and gorgeous actress, I loved her drama Hwang Jin Yi and that's why I gave this drama a chance. She is so fitting for historical plots and strong/brave FL roles. Apart from that, I love everything about this drama. I usually despise love triangles, but I gotta admit the one in this drama between the king, the prince and the FL is quite interesting and funny.
I know some kind of power struggle (like strongest ,weakest is there in schools)But is bullying that severe in…
I agree, they straight up act like gangsters and beat the crap out of each other almost to death sometimes. Then they get away with it as it's nothing...I refuse to believe that shit is real lmao
