I don't want to butt in your discussion but seeing this thread reminded me of something. Quite agree on your point about insecure and intolerate people lurking around and I want to add biased people here. Once I asked in a page if a novel has a summerised version as it's too long to read. Then I got a long answer about how it's not long at all and interesting enough to read several times then about how I'm a fake troll pretending to like the story and asking fake question and similar nonsense. When I replied I found out they'd blocked me!! Such nerve! 😄😬

Unlike 1st season which was packed with cases and copycats, 2nd season only wants to do 2 things: finding The Watchman and solving immigrant workers' mystery. This makes for a slow season and the ridiculous thing is that despite having extra time to waste, at the end there are STILL some loose ends left behind. For example, it was strongly implied that Lu Qi was MXS's son and Yang told him, LQ would be even more devastated was he to find out the truth but it was left at that. Still, I enjoyed the story as a whole and characters were interesting.

Now after 1st and 2nd DILs, Ayla is showing her true ugly colours, not that she was sweet to begin with but still she can't seem to hold herself in in front of them anymore.

It would be funny but we don't know when her husband has died, for all we know he was dead already by Eon's marriage. She probably just couldn't take its strong taste.

I don't say it's boring but I find it disjionted. Like DRA sees something and remember a similar memory from the past and that's it. Because of it, they seems out of place and just a slice of life

I thought so. I believe in being faithful to the source material when adapting but, although I don't know the writer, many mangas has this problem of having shallow stories and characters. Professional writers should at least try to make them deeper and more meaningful.

What Anzu wanted was to expose what really happened and relieve her mother's guilt and recover her memories and she did it but some diallogues and scenes made it look like she's out for blood which made the ending meh. They didn't return to their house, we don't know if they took their names back, etc so not much was changed after all the drama. Also, I can understand if all grudge left their heart after knowing it was a silly accident after all and not some evil plan but still, saying Makiko and Sastumi forgot the past and everything is OTT and that is the reason I think the ending was too fluffy. Makiko may not have burned down the house but still, she made friend with a woman she disliked, stole from her, was over the moon seeing she and her daughters are out on their ear, badmouthed her in front of her (spineless) husband, true or false said she hated him and his family, and many other bad things. I know we live in a world where even ex-cons and criminals can start a channel and become successful bloggers but her moving on after such a huge scandal early into her fame as if nothing has happened was too much. Even her husband's hospital took a hit and many staff left, at least we could see some bad comment or low rating or even that she's filming herself but doesn't post them to see she's as high as she thinks.

I don't like DuRian's expression and behaviour. Half the drama is passed and she's always on edge and nervous with pinched nose and lips as if she's smelling something weird and can't determine what it is!

One can never think much of ratings imo, especially on sites like IMDB or here where the audience and fans rate them. Also, this an older drama, many people here are newer fans who have came after streaming services started to show kdramas like crazy and they mostly watch recommended shows, originals, etc, hence the older ones are neither popular nor high rated. It's sad and intense too with a heavy ending, many would rate low for it as well.

That "I was your father in previous life" with her husband and "mother" with her MIL was her imagination. She was thinking how it would sound to her if someone came and said I was your family.

@L13 Quite agree. I actually liked them a lot, they were both cute and kind of stupid but smart in their own way. I too think she liked him, she thought about him and was more shocked after his confession but there were many buts and ifs in their way.

Makiko-san actress was brilliant, her face, smile, talking, walking, everything were just repulsive in how superficial they were. I just wanted to smack her head with one of her fancy bags.

A pity they swapped it with the Maestra. I hope at least they won't push it back further and it would be aired in Q1 of 2024.

Don't know about other things but quite agree on creepy men. I couldn't watch more than 2 episodes of it with ML staring at FL's lips all the time. Even thinking about it make me cringe!
