I don't think this is about her becoming slim and suddenly finding love... In my opinion, this is about a much deeper issue: Getting back her "wasted" youth and finding herself. This is not about her becoming lighter again, but about being YOUNG and having a fresh start after being abandoned by the two people she sacrificed everything for.
