I know some people are bothered by Chief Kim being straight in the end. I don't think they were trying to make it seem "better" but they were trying to break through a commonly known stereotype they even talked about in the show. That was just my take on it.
Honestly... it wasn't all that bad. I quite liked it actually. There were some crazy funny moments, I loved the characters. And I also liked the main female lead's conflict (finding/fullfilling your dream). I gave this a 7.5 rating. Not the best but it was quite enjoyable.
It is so true that everything will bore you at this stage. I was in a show hole when I started Hotel Del Luna.…
nahh.... honestly, in my humble opinion, HDL was way too overhyped. The characters were not written very well. I couldn't bond with them AT ALL which is why I didn't really feel sad at the end. How could it be that they talked SO MUCH and SO MUCH happened but at the same time they never said anything important to the plot and not much happened in general... Like... the side couple got almost NO screen time although their VERY complicated story would have needed it. :/
Maybe try more cliché stories atm then? Cause you want smth light-hearted. For example, Put Your Head On My Shoulder or My Girlfriend is an Alien... both very light hearted but funny and adorable :) have you seen extraordinary you? A show that is airing atm and is absolutely HILARIOUS is Psychopath Diary -- haven't laughed that much in a while.
Smile found out that the sister was actually lying to Badz and "using him". Actually her boyfriend had deceived her and told her that he had to pay off his debt there and couldn't work because he had to treat his sick mother. That's why she decided to let her brother work there to pay off his non-existent debt. Since Smile found it out, they could resolve the whole thing and it ended with a happy ending for all four.
