The mother does not really get any karma but very late in the series she admits that she treated Shao Shang wrong.

If you enjoy crime/mystery I can recommend the recently finished Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty. Side Stories of the Fox Volant is a very good wuxia drama, with cool fight scenes and a splice of romance.
I cannot really think of any new epic love stories I've seen though, as I tend to watch more crime then romance.

This was a rumor last year as well and multiple times this year so I don't really see it as very credible. I read the first part of the novel and well I can't say I found it very exciting.

The issue with the producer is that she and the director had an affair during wrtw filming and then broke up and then because of this the production was not smooth. So personally I dislike the producer for bringing drama behind the scenes.

I have not seen a lot of Tang Dynasty dramas, but I really like the costumes.

Yeah I was really surprised we never got this until now. Because May it please the court came up on my d+ just right after it started airing. I was eagerly anticipating this last year so I was really disappointed it wasn't available in my country.

I think they both dubbed themselves because of the new rule, if they don't dub themselves they have to pay the voice actor from their own pocket.

All caught on with the episodes now. This one took me by surprise, I thought the synopsis sounded interesting but did not really have any expectations on it being good. It is a pleasant surprise to be honest. I enjoy the fact that there were many different cases and not the regular crimes we've seen so often before.

Not yet, but it's on my to read list.
