They filmed for about 2-3 weeks during the summer, so it might air at the end of the year.

For me the seriousness didn't land because one minute they were all serious, and then in the next it turned into quirky comedy. The mood shifted way to many times 😅 It definitively wasn't what I expected based on the trailers, but maybe the comedy will lessen and the angst will be more.

I am so very happy that they are filming season 3 already 💗 This is one of my favorite series and I am so glad that we are lucky enough to get 3 seasons without too much wait.

This one will be on youku though, not on tencent :)

Plot wise it's nothing new, but I found myself smiling during the first couple of episodes so that is a win for me.

I guess, but it still felt like a bit of a stretch to me that she basically left the city to look for him.

Okay but that was so random. In ep 5 she was at the theater, and then moments later she is in the forest 😂 Yeah I know it's probably so that *that* could happen but still. That was a long walk she took for a breath of fresh air.

I like the new legitimate wife as well 😄 It was good to see that at least not all the ladies in the household were manipulative and scheming ladies. I felt quite satisfied on her behalf when Yining helped the woman get the duties that should have gone to her in the first place.

Concubine Qiao isn't that charismatic, so I wonder how she managed to wrap her husband around her finger so well.

I think it's a popular setup in novels which is why it seems so familiar. But hopefully there will be other things that makes it stand apart.
