They have 98 named characters and that is without all the extras. So it is due to the budget. But she has several outfits that will be showcased the further in you get.

I assume you understand more of the backstory if you have seen the earlier ones, but each show is about a new adventure. This particular trio has had two tomb shows before this one I believe.

I find female voice annoying, like she is reading a script, and her comic timing seems forced.
Well Li Qin is dubbing herself this time, so I still prefer that over a voice actor. I do not know how many times she has actually done her own dub so I think with time it will be more natural.
