Shao Shang is not used to people taking care of her so she did not actually understand his intentions. She also does not know the things we've seen him do like donate to rebuild Hua County, getting her that edict etc.
Considering that they have not actually spent much time together at all it is not so strange she does not understand why he likes her so much. What she did do after having that conversation with her mom and hearing Liang Feng talking about him caring for her during the night was really consider the things she knows he has done for her.
It is also good to remember that she is only 15 so although she is mature in some ways due to having to rely on herself growing up she is not so mature when it comes to relationship with other people.

If now is not a good time to watch something that will be sad I would suggest you wait until it has finished airing so you know more.

I'm enjoying it! I even got a sub for the first time for iqiyi so I can follow it xD I tend to not watch tragedies so I hope the ending won't be sad.

Depends on your humor but I find the first episodes quite funny. The tragedy starts later in I believe.

I did not find the first two episodes all over the place tbh. I found it quite fun.

I believe it starts funny and then tragedy comes the further you get.

Well instead of celebrating hitting a certain amount of views I believe Iqiyi uses "heat level" and that includes views and discussions etc. So when a certain amount has been reached on their heat level the lbfad cast made different promises they kept.

I have a really hard time with angst, I prefer less sad times xD So I feel that 36 episodes should be quite enough to get both happy and sad times and not drag.
