Well that is part of it. But the grandma does not really think any women are good enough for her sons. YuanYi is also very opinionated, independent and is not really willing to just please her mother in law. So I just think she dislikes YuanYi because of her personality.

I think that it was meant to be that both of them were thinking about their past encounters and when they talked to others about their "love interest". But I agree that it was not really clear in who was thinking what. Could just also be for the viewers ofc.

Episode 28 is part 2 since they had the "Previously on" at the start of the episode. So the official end of part 1 is Shao Shang saying that she will marry him.
