Officially it's 40, but it's actually 20 XD There was a rule about needing adds if you had a long episode I think, so they cut the episodes in half. So it's just a regular 20 episode kdrama.
I must say that it's kind of annoying in episode 10 that they just wiped So Mun and his grandparents memory and not anyone else xD That's just stupid tbh.
Onl.y for a few days. After tomorrow it's one a day until Monday and Wednesday has 2. Nothing on Friday to Saturday. The other days will have 1 episode.

Yeah I understand how you feel. I am quite happy they kept these things, since it remains closer to the novel, but I also see how it can feel odd to people who haven't read it at all(or if it's been a while). I also don't really think they should have skipped it, because it takes up maybe a third of the novel and if they did skip they probably would have written more drama for the later part. I think that this particular arc ends tomorrow or the day after though based on where we are in the plot.
On a positive note Sang Zhi and Duan Jiaxu is very cute 🥰
