I imagine it's because some stuff had to be cut, but yeah I felt like I had missed something too even if I had read the novel.

In the novel all these with Zhao Lusi scenes are by the younger Sang Zhi, not the high schooler Sang Zhi if I remember correctly. So she will feel more childish for her age here, since they wanted Zhao Lusi to do most of the acting for Sang Zhi.

He is sweet in the novel too. It's just described differently in the synopsis.

I think these mini extra scenes right before the end credits are very cute.

I think she changed her pitch to sound younger, don't know if she did it on her own or if they used a machine. I imagine she will sound more like herself when she is in the college stage.

Hello! I see your point but want to provide some context. In the novel(others who have read it can correct me if I'm wrong) all these scenes acted by Zhao Lusi actually happen to the younger Sang Zhi so it makes sense you feel that she is childish. But since this arc is a big part of the novel I imagine the writers wanted to keep it in but have it acted by Zhao Lusi so they simply changed her age, which makes her indeed seem more childish then someone at the age of 17 would be. Hopefully you can still enjoy this 🙂 Happy watching!

They changed the age a bit compared to the novel. Some were saying that Duan Jiaxu just started at the university when Sang Zhi is 14, so he should be a little younger.

Yes Lusi and Zeng Li are good friends so it'snice to have them in the same drama again for me.

Yes it's very good! I had no expectations at all when I started watching this but I ended up falling in love with the production.

It's my favorite so far as well 😄 It brought me much laughter and then grief at the end.
