Actually I think you are right and the key is with FL having ML's phalanx. ML will probably end up being the reincarnated demon king 😈👑from 10,000 years ago (we still don't know who his bio-mother is). His father keeps on scarring him and has been shown trying to suppress him by pushing some sort of energy into ML and saying its not working anymore, so maybe ML has never had the opportunity to produce the purple light, but since the FL has his finger bone and is not bound- it produced the demon kings power without any hinderance for the first time in 10,000 years and that is why the prisoners went crazy.
