Though I did laugh when the innkeeper’s daughter just slapped the tied-up men, and the others reacted like she stabbed them 🤣. I was tense thinking she’d break their necks! And we just got a slap out of her!!! Now the string 🧶 attack? That was scary. The father’s acting was amazing! Great acting duo!

Are we going to see the aforementioned innkeeper’s runaway “son” ??? This is the third time the string-wielding 🧶sister has mentioned him, which is usually a dramaland plot set-up. Wonder who he will be impersonating? We haven’t seen the FL’s fiancé yet 🤔…

I was absolutely shocked that they gave the entire plot and ending of Love in Pavilion in FSMM1! What were they thinking!

Rumored to be Love in Pavilion next on IQIYI. Don't know if that is still S tier level after FSMM1 did so poorly though. Hidden Shadow possibly next on Youku. But you know how well the rumor mill works out...

Drama is still watchable, Im on ep 12, still want to see how Han Dong's end game plays out- but I really wished the FL would have played the character like the teenage actress did or like the FL's phoenix-masked version does- talking like people normally do. The blank expression, naive voice characterization which we have had for most of the drama... I'm not enjoying.

Because of the special turn-slots in the Mountain Sword 🗡️ he uses. Each slot that is selected to kill the demons has different after effects. The slot he used in the beginning for 🦉 made him extremely hungry. Another slot for 🍐 🪞 made him extremely sleepy. His dad said there are two slots he must not use- unless in complete dire straits. So of course you know he’s going to use them at some point… 🤣

I’m glad Chi Xue explained in a later episode why Xuan Ye was so hungry… 🗡️

Liu Ruo Gu has ironically been in the last three on-air dramas that I've watched. He played both the adolescent versions of the ML in A Moment But Forever and Clash of the Titans... And now the cute bunny 🐇 demon here.

Really enjoyed the 1st episode... cast, costumes, cgi and whimsical BGM. FL did a great job acting timid without coming across as annoying, which I’ve seen recently in other dramas. 👍
