Still laughing. For me, I'm slowly getting through them as they have dragged in the middle more than usual. It's weird, I liked the low budget Dominator of Martial Gods better than the last 3-4 historicals. Hope this has a lot of action in the plot.

Agree, I binged this more than the high production wuxia / xianxia costume dramas that started off quite a bit slower than this fast-paced series. Hopefully, there will be a second season.

Agree, I wasn't bored. Action packed from beginning to end. One of the best movies that shows the enduring love between comrades, brother and sister and husband and wife.

Not the greatest CGI; however, first episode kept my attention throughout. I'll take it flaws and all as there is not much out there right now in Wuxia/Xianxia land. Hope it maintains the current pace.

Good movie and great introduction to this heroic man, who made numerous military achievements and channeled his later frustrations with not being able to reunite lost lands into some of the greatest Ci Poetry and Calligraphy left to his Country and People.

It's a pretty open ending. She could be from the future, the past or an alternate universe. It may be that they didn't want a concrete romantic ending between the FL and ML since there was also so much BL between the 2 male leads. With this ending, they are all heading off together as friends. China produces some incredible series; however, the endings are often an afterthought and not well done. You have to imagine the endings of these types of series the way you wanted it to end. I agree with the commenter that there was no satisfying ending shown for the 2 bodyguards or the sister since there was a possible romance between 2 of those 3 as well.
