Such a logical viewpoint on a drama! Very well written. You dwell on the storyline, not too much on the personalities/celebrities of this show . .
-- I remembered again our American Mentor on Arts and Literature: "Dramas are works of fiction. The actors and actresses were hired to entertain people, and entertained people get joy in watching the said drama and move on"
However, much of the joy in watching a drama is lost when --- -- some viewers "criticize all details of a show", forgetting that there is no such perfect drama, no perfect storyline; there are always a level of flaws around -- and this "comparison game" - we compare about so many actors and actresses - that one is better than the other - and so hateful and insulting words were hurled to the lesser person -- (whom we liked should be the best); but in our haste to judge others, we also forgot that those underrated actors, as time passes became the "Gems of the Entertainment Industry".
*** Here, I want to share a portion of an article written by a young friend who is studying Engineering. Young as she is, her mind is more mature and responsible, especially in her writings: ***
"In watching a drama, we frequently need to ease up and just appreciate things without any pressure, excessive expectations, or anything else. To compare an actor or an actress to another is like playing a "comparison game" that one is greater than the others . . . We forget that each person has a quality which should be recognized and only a humble person can recognize and appreciate the talents of other people.

In a discussion of this show with a friend, who is a university professor, and who happened to read the comments here, he asked me yesterday:
"Are these people writing here a group of elementary pupils or are they in middle school?" For it seems they have watched everything under the sun and they know too much about the Korean Entertainment Industry . . .
-- For my group, especially for myself who is only 2 years into Korean dramas, and who only knew and watch the actors and actresses here for the first time; we came into this drama to be entertained and to be happy; for after all, a drama was produced for entertainment purposes, to cheer up, to give joy to the people watching it, to inform, and to educate. To make people relax and to be cheerful.
-- And instead, what do we get from the Comments Section here? ---- We overly criticize and complain for everything, we expect too much ---- We have name-calling, fast judgment on age differences, insults, spiteful / hateful words, harshly criticizing and comparing one actor/actress with another, and writing as if we think and knew better than the actual Director and Scriptwriter of this said show.
Have we ever ask ourselves? What is in the mind of the Producer and the Director for producing and directing this drama? Why do they chose these Leads?
- And we argue: "I am free to write anything that I want to write'. However, the legal and moral concept of a true freedom is not to do what we want to do; but rather to do what we "ought" to do. And freedom comes with responsibilities. A responsibility to act, to think and to write as a decent human being - a person who knew how to respect others as one wants to be respected.
