When you tell yourself every day for 15 years "This is the day my mother comes to get me." and at the end of each day for 15 years..."she didnt come...she doesn't want me." Thats going to leave some damage. She's only 15 and doesn't fully grasp the home dynamic and that her mother had little say in her movements. The woman who is supposedly the daughter of her Grandmother, Madame Ji, a coward, with no voice or power? Thats unthinkable to JinZhao who was raised by the same woman to be independent and strong couldnt have possibly raised a woman who is trapped in a loveless marriage. So to protect herself from further disappointment she chooses to believe her mother allowed her removal from the house and once she had a son she no longer had a reason to visit her abandoned child at her mother's home.
can someone explain the kite scene in ep 9? I don't understand how the kite represents her feelings? Thanks.
The kite represents her feelings for him. She is showing her feeling to him in the open. When he stands her up again she releases her feelings, determined to move on and leave him and her feelings for him, in the past. I believe the type of bird also means something specific but im unsure.
Are you guys sure Cisha and Ren Min aren't dating?
They've been working together for the better part of half a decade and they are close in age. Though sometimes he feels like the younger one because of his generally playfulness. They have really good working chemistry, so im hoping the fans dont make it weird. because every time it turns into "and they never were seen making eye contact again on screen"
We've already seen he's very good at quickly removing her hairpins 😏😉 One day I pray a director will actually…
I've seen it done in a show before...I can't remember which one many years ago. The husband just casually helped remove the ornaments and then brushed her hair, but there was like a really mundane conversation happening. It wasn't filmed in a romantic manner but more to show their comfortability with one another. It wasn't a prelude to spicy town, but just and intimate act between spouses.
I need a sweet light moment of trying to locate all the little bits and bobs and making the woman giggle at her husband's confusion. Maybe have the giggling stop as she takes over and maintains eye contact while letter her hair down in front of him for the first time. Or a more dexterous experienced husband who's able to undo his wife's hair in a breathtaking swiftness. But censorship would probably nix the steamer version...Like how fun would it be if in a show where the wife was like an assassin/martial artist and so his her husband and her hair ornaments double as weapons so he removes them and throws them into the wall...a little Mr. and Mrs. Smith weapons removal.
Also...you know what's been missing from a LOT of period cdrama...a good tension filled hair grab. The kind from under the nape of the neck with fingers intwined in the hair to have control over where the person's face is. But again, we have hit the "wing and or extensions" wall. Not me writing fanfic in the comments.
so am I seeing right they are saying why 18 years old ye xian is not a general like 35 years old men 😭 I am…
I must have some of these people blocked, because I'm not seeing this discourse.
It's pretty well established from the beginning that Ye Xian had trouble even learning horsemanship because of his heart condition...Someone who can't physically learn active sports or martial arts shouldn't appear physically strong on screen. He's also playing a teenager for the majority of the show. I can't remember if he and Jin Zhao are actually the same age or not.
I see a lot of the dancer he is in his movements as Ye Xian. The way he moves his body when "weak" is made more elegant, at least in my opinion. He's not really meant to look imposing, but rather determined. He has enough power without lifting a finger, he doesn't need to look like he's been pumping weights between takes.
If anything WinWin does the physical things too well, for a character with a heart condition. The dismount on that horse was 10/10. One day he'll actually play someone with martial arts skills so he can show off his choreography skills and training. His style of dancing means he generally has control over every part of his body.
There is that selfish love disguised as selfless again from Chen Xuan Qing.
He knew that she was in danger, and instead of immediately sending word to his uncle, he tried to play hero, and in doing so delayed her rescue. He had the nerve to say "If third uncle was any later...." Bitch, you had HOURS that you just piddle fucked around in while she was in danger(Which the longer a woman is held captive the more likely it isn't just perceived that she was violated, but that she actually will be).
He doesn't actually care about Gu Jin Zhao's safety, he just wants to possess her and be seen as a hero in her eyes. His heroics were always stolen valor to begin with. Chen Yan Yun saved her from the river before CXQ even knew of her existence and he has the nerve to be jealous of the man who always cared for her? Like, Sir, you had ample time to confess and pursue her honorably, but you feared not having access to the power a noble could provide. He could have been a humble scholar and lower ranked official and married a wealthy merchant's granddaughter and dealt with his identity potentially getting out later. He made his choice, and forced hers at the time. You don't get to ghost a girl for 4 years, not even checking on her after the passing of her mother, and whine about it being unfair and a plot against YOU.
The actual audacity of this child. The fact he KNOWS he's in the wrong and still carries on is the true problem. He kills the trafficker because she saw his face, so he knows he was wrong in not reporting to CYY about GJZ's whereabouts.
Ep 29…okay I understand that they are eager to do that…but FL has lots of poking and dangerous accessories…
We've already seen he's very good at quickly removing her hairpins 😏😉 One day I pray a director will actually includes the full helping to remove hair ornaments. But I can understand that logistically that can be complicated with wing/hair extensions etc. I just have the shots and cut aways for a scene like that floating around in my head and I need someone to put it to screen.
Hi maybe someone can help me. I have iqiyi subscription but when i click on the link it is written it is not available.…
Im watching on Tencent mainly and using SmartView to stream it to my Roku(TV). It's also on 💋kh & they upload on MangoTv's schedule so it's updated to episode 30.
I am all caught up. Now I have to wait like the rest of you who started on day 1😅
Everytime. It's just heavy enough to keep the plot moving, but light enough to keep me invested in the next episode. I always end up delaying sad shows when I can feel the bs coming. Now we have Ji Zhao & YanYun as a little barnacle husband and wife. Always gotta be touching.
Episode 30 preview has the answer, but maybe it's not the whole story.https://w.mgtv.com/b/867823/24378270.html
yeah, it looks more like he found out about it after it happened rather than orchestrating it himself. But like he has had dealings with those people previously. I don't understand Mandarin so I'm unsure what info is getting back to Ye Xian and the details of what's being said.
When Chen’s yanyun little sister asked the FL when they started falling for each other and guessed it was around…
One practically bullied her. The other stood her up and then got engaged to another woman...and somehow BOTH of them feel wronged that she's marrying a man that has consistently protected and cared for her.
Like Xuan Qing, my guy, you've known from the jump that the only reason you even MET her was because your uncle saved her life, and you stood in as the savior for him. She wouldn't have looked at him twice had she not first been under the impression that he had rendered her aid.
Both Ye Xian and Chen Xuan Qing helped her "publicly", but didn't even once in the 4 years they've known each other confessed in any way shape or form. One threw a tantrum like their toy had been stolen, and the other ghosted her so hard she forgot his existence.
It somehow slipped my mind how many vipers are in and around the Chen mansion. I only ever think about his little sister and mother....but his sister-in-law is sketch as hell. Also, I thought they got rid of the 4th brother after learning he murdered the 5th brother. All the wives of his mentor's men look like they are ready to stab her in the back the second it's turned. Well not ALL of them. Just the mentor's wife and the ones belonging to the rotten ones. She's going to have to be on her guard in that house. The men either want her, or want to harm her...the woman...can't trust them yet. She's going to forged again it seems. I just want to know who's behind her future kidnapping.(Teaser for episode 29)
