Why is it tragic,? For who? For you? No one died, there are no children involved. maybe sad, but tragic, no.
I would also add, that in my country marriage is not obliged , having children out of wedlock is more common than in wedlock, and even in the old days it was not considered a stigma.. The country it self is considered the most peaceful country in the world, lowest crime highest educated, lowest drug abuse in europe, among the highest living standards in the world, so the negative effects on society is kind of absent, I belive it is the stigma and judgement (culture) that makes it so hard for people, not just the divorse itself.

My parents are divorced, I am not scarred for life, and both my parens got a better life after their divorse. In my country noone would end homeless due to divorce, so I guess that depends in which country you live in, and that is sad if that should be the case in your country. I agree that when childre are involved it should not be taken lightly, but it allso depends on the issues at hand, if there is at lot of fighting screaming and yelling etc, it is likely better for the child that the parents seperate. But a short marriage without children like this case, I really don’t see why it is any different from breaking up. And if it is not working before the children arrive, I promise you it will be harder after they arrive. I belive the stigma I see asians have with divorce, might make many people especially women force themself and sacrifice them for the opinions of others, that I find truly sad. Your life is your own, and only you know what is best for you.
Although I understand their point but you're being way too critical about appearances and that a couple must match…
Lol she blocked me too, I never called her stupid, I said her comment was stupid, she does not get the difference. Comparing peoples facial features, oh lord .
