I just checked the comments on the drama's page and like you say everyone seems to be super-enjoying it which if you ask me does not prove anything, on the contrary it makes one start to wonder what exactly they're so loving it for(!!!)
I can somehow guess what you're not liking about it but can you give me a general idea without spoiling?
though I have it on my PTW list but I was feeling uncertain about this one (even the trailer felt a bit stupid)

Hi There, long time no see. How are you doing lately?
I noticed on the feeds you've commented on Man from the stars "One word....silly!!"
I was thinking of watching someday when it's finished airing, you don't like it? I've just been disappointed by a sci-fi drama lately and I don't want to make the same mistake twice, so if there are any warning (LOL) please share.
and if there any particular recommendations too, I would love to hear ;-)

Hi!
Thannks and of course it's OK to ask, at last I was able to find a Job using my major (Japanese) I work as project coordinator for Japanese aids.

Well, I keep wondering why I ever thought of watching Ando Lloyd, but I guess the reason was the same as everyone, I was attracted to the story (for some reason scifi dramas are rare in Japan) plus of course KimuTaku, but now that I've watched it the first reason was the same reason it failed in my opinion, and well I decided I won't fall for the second reason again, even Japanese people are discussing how dramas should not rely on Kimutaku's popularity solely and that it's about time to say goodbye to Kimutaku's stardom days :D

Komikado sensei is what they call the anti-hero in several ways and though he has that disgusting fashion and those irritating facial expressions we somehow still find him charismatic ;-)

Hi Lola, how are you doing?
I've started a new job lately so drama watching & MDLing time has unfortunately decreased drastically.
You've asked me what I've been watching lately.
Well, before I started work I was nearly finished with KDrama Smile, You. But now that it's been more than 2 months since last time I watched it, it might be a bit difficult to finish it. Korean Family dramas are really good but they're long and that's a definite drawback in my case. i can see you gave it a 9, well considering I added it to my favorites list without even finishing you can say we have a similar taste there ;-)
Now, I thought I'd try giving some Jdramas a try for a change also as a language practice, I made the awful mistake of watching (rather wasting my time) on Andou Lloyd, but now I'm enjoying Legal High 2, very amusing and hilarious I totally recommend.
So what have you been enjoying lately?

Hi, Zezi!! Hope you're doing great.
Thanks for sharing your opinion about Arifureta kiseki, well I would have hardly ever thought of watching it but I remember it seemed like a weird drama when I watched the commercials in japan.
As for recommendations for Japanese dramas, lately I've started a new job so I don't have enough time to watch much (unfortunately) but during the end of year vacation I watched Andou Lloyd, and it was simply HORRIBLE, even if you're payed to watch it don't please :D
Currently I'm enjoying Legal High 2, I can see you're currently watching the first season, please do try the sequel as well IT'S HILARIOUS!!! I know sakai boomed after Hanzawa, but I'm glad he was on my favorite actors list before that (ever since watching general rouge)
Hope you enjoy both of Legal High 1 & 2
Hope to hear from you soon ;-)

I agreed with all of your comments,
though I haven't watch either dramas (Gu family book & when a man loves) but I could still imagine it being a bit far-fetched that these two ladies get any kind of excellence awards in acting, Suzy is a bit better though!!
I also LOVE Baek Jin Hee's dress, the beauty of simplicity as you say.
But definitely the comment that I agree the most with is the one about Joo Won winning the prize for level 7, I love Joo Won and find him to be a great actor, but COME ON! This drama is a NO-NO! Besides, to be honest he didn't do such a memorable job in that one, especially if compared with his previous works.
Thanks for the neatly written list, and the witty comments, waiting for the next installments.

Weird results!!!
I don't remember voting coz I was a bit busy lately and haven't been accessing MDL frequently like before so I know I may not have the right to say anything, but I can't see how these results came out!
well if we put in mind how Jdramas are coming second to Kdramas in terms of size of fan base here on MDL we can guess as to how the votes did not and can never represent everyone's tastes, but it still surprises me how one drama can get all those awards!! if that happens over at KDramas everyone will be making fun!
Also the absence of Hanzawa Naoki baffles me! and LAST CINDRELLA!!
Still, good job on the polls, please do keep it up. And as you say difference of tastes is what makes things interesting here on MDL ;-)

GREAT ARTICLE!!
I would also add the fainting from over work/fatigue, plus the classic nose bleeds of course.
As for the remedies, I was reminded of that weird cocktail; Alcohol (can't remember if it was wine, sake...) + an egg's yolk that they make for people suffering from cold. I remember the leads were making it in My Girl.
Keep writing great articles!!

LOVE your article a lot, though I can't think of any examples of similar encounters with Asian stars, but I somehow agreed with your opinions at least of the shows I watched (especially My Girl, now that's one poorly-written character!!!)
The best part that made me laugh though it might be a bit off-topic was "this 'duh' look on his face all the time like Kristen Stewart" That made me laugh out loud, you simply speak my mind!!

Now I guess it's my turn to apologize for the late reply hahahaha
Well, Cruel City's last scene bugged me too, so I did a search and found out that the original script had a different ending in mind but was later changed (you must have already heard about that)
can't remember the site where I originally read it (mostly it was a Japanese site) but I found this one.
http://goo.gl/Ct2Hrd

Anyway, as I said before I prefer to consider they changed the ending to the better one (him dying) but still couldn't resist inserting a scene depicting PaKsa alive and kicking AND wearing a light colored suit (as opposed to the dark ones that reflected the darkness to his life)
anyway, it might be a bit vague and frustrating to not be sure which of the two scenarios is the right one, but still it's kind of fun coz then everyone can choose the ending he prefers :D

I had to surf through the comments on your profile to remember what I had previously written before about Cruel City.

Well I'm not really sure, but I believe I wrote that comment right after I had finished watching the show, and while it might seem like I didn't like the show but the case is a bit different. You can say that owing to the fact this drama is a genre I rarely watch and also its message was a bit of a subtle one hidden behind too much power-struggles, it took me some time to swallow the whole thing and fully absorb the beauty of it all.
Now thinking back, It was a very nice & unique drama, - especially if you're the kind of viewer who doesn't mind each and every detail and seek reality and consistency in every single part of the story (I try not to be that kind of viewer) -

Btw, didn't really understand you, do you mean to say you believe he didn't die at the end? If so then tell me because it turns out there's a story behind that ending.

You can check my review of the show below

Well I haven't watched faith but read several positive reviews about it. As for the scandals surrounding it I've only ever read about the ridiculous plagiarism case with TSDJ, but never heard about the project originally having a totally different plot and staff like that, let alone the news about the producer committing suicide! poor guy :(
Great article, you should definitely keep writing other installments of you still have further scandals that you know of.

Anyeong, donseng ;-)
You girls are making me feel old...like an ahjumma :-(
Well, I've only managed to watch up till episode 6 so I'm not one to judge the whole thing, but seriously IMH's acting is not that great, at least not spectacular enough to distract me from the bad writing and lacking script. Te7essy el sha5seyyat metlassama keda, we te7essy en el kateb bey7awel yelazza2 el two leads ma3 ba3d bel 3afya, it feels sooo made up and unnatural. Plus the main plot has too many holes to deal with!!
Don't get me wrong, I love reading reviews of dramas that speak my mind, but also enjoy a lot reading reviews of ppl with different tastes than mine, like -ve reviews of dramas that I liked, and +ve ones of dramas I didn't.
And as we say in Arabic lawla e5telaf el azawak la barat el sela3 right?
It's my policy to watch Kdramas only when they've finished airing, so even if I wa to watch the heirs I wouldn't do it now.

Glad we share the same Arashi taste ;-)
Wow, just talking about them makes me miss them :(
Well, I downloaded it via torrent and watched it, if you need help on that tell me.
Looking forward to hearing your review of it after you've watched it.
