If it follows the novel then they'll come to capital too. Madam Wang was kinda a bestie with FTY. Madam Mo is a special character in the drama though. I don't remember her much. Mo Yi had such a presense in the novel. He would drag ZL anywhere. I hope we get to see this dynamic in the drama too.

There were some moments but Zhao Ling really would get uncomfortable when she was upset or angry and he always tried to comfort her so that she would become happy again... But the translation is not good and if you have some Chinese knowledge would be better to understand the errors in translation. It's machine translated. The novel is very long and for 2/3 of the novel you see Zhao Ling only occasionally. He's mostly at the frontier. The story is a slice of life of FTY actually and how she fares in the capital dealing with other bigshot officials' women. The couple would mainly communicate through letter though. You see, they weren't actually together much (though married) to have the time to even misunderstand... 😭🤣 That's why I like the drama better. We see more of ZL here. I'm so glad.

This follows the original novel and I expected it. I loved their pre-capital arcs more too even in the novel I loved them more. All that building up was so to get them to the capital though. At least here I can see more of Zhao Ling unlike the novel.
