First this is not a romance focused drama. So if you want to get in for the romance you might get disappointed. Though not a romance focused drama, to me, its romantic scenes were far more emotional than any other romance focused dramas I've seen. This is a plot and character driven drama with lots of angsts and realism. No love triangles. They confess around ep 15-16 I think. They marry around 24-25. There is slight misunderstanding at 29-30, it'll get worse at 31-32 but it got resolved at e32. It has a proper happy ending.
Another 'family' drama like The Rise of Ning or Si Jin. I love these kinds of family cat and mouse clashes. Zhou Ye always amazes me in her dramas. She's talented. Xu Kai and his face card always get me. I can't take my eyes off him whenever he appears! 😁💖
