“Believe in Love” is a historical romance drama with some comedic undertones that is enjoyable to watch while waiting for a great one to come. The leading couple has great romantic chemistry and nice interactions that bring out authenticity in their numerous intimate scenes. This drama could have been a great one if the last episodes were not charged with bizarre characters and plot holes towards a playful ending that could’ve been fantastic if the leading couple shows how they overcame misunderstandings and managed to remain steadfast to their love and mutual understanding instead of giving the viewers an insipid and childish happy ending that lacks substance. This is a nice and sometimes frustrating romantic comedy within the world of ultra-competitive e-sports. Although the female lead gets better once the romance starts (episode 21), she was insufferable and judgmental while showing an emotionless expression and acting impulsively and meddlesome. Although the romance is definitely there, the male lead was the force behind the fuzzy feelings in the romantic interactions. It is not necessary to have knowledge on gaming, but the drama spends too much time showing the ugly side of media shaming and its effects on the public figures, in this case, e-sports players, the thrill of gaming, and the influence of the fans on the players’ rise and fall of/from fame within the online gaming community. If the viewer is interested on e-sports and its culture, the drama provides much to watch, but the leading lady, maybe because her acting might have been asked to emulate an e-sport’s emotionless character, failed to create a nice romantic chemistry with the leading actor, even as much as he tried : ( Was this review helpful to you?

My Sassy Girl is the remake of the 2001 Korean movie “My Sassy Girls” but, in this remake, although it differs from the movie, the plot is a seaguk in the Joseon era. It's a light romantic- comedy with some palace intrigue, action, and melodrama. It is a lighthearted drama with some heartbreaking moments and a happy ending. The leading couple has a cute chemistry and they portrayed their characters nicely. The ending seems rushed but, overall, it is a nice comedy with some romance, palace scheming, funny moments, and the conflicts are quickly resolved. Enjoy it!

The leading cast, Choi Woo-Shik as Choi Woong and Kim Dami as Kook Yeon Soo did a wonderful job bringing their characters to life. Their chemistry was great and they were wonderful in expressing their emotions, not only in their dialogues but mostly in the intense raw emotions that they brought through body language and facial expressions.
Although there are some comedic moments, the drama provokes all kind of emotions as the main characters work on overcoming pain and understanding their emotions to be able to conquer their fears in order to love and trust each other. It is a wonderful drama; enjoy it.

This is a nice drama that illustrates how children carry the burden of their elder’s mistakes. The drama has a sullen aura throughout all 70 episodes and, although it has its beautiful, lovely, and tender moments, it is packed with characters that are scarred from the actions, selfishness, misunderstandings, and lack of proper communication of their parents and grandparents. The entire drama packs one punch after another on the leading couple and most of the supporting cast. Although it is not a binge worthy drama and the characters take too long to reach emotional maturity, the drama does have some redeeming qualities. The male lead is one of them; he’s steadfast on his love and care for the leading female. The most disturbing aspect of this drama is how most characters failed to see and understand that Jiang Sheng’s feelings and yearning for Liang Sheng stemmed from a sisterly deep, pure, and strong love toward the brother that she grew up with and their symbiotic relationship. This is a nice and entertaining drama. The leading couple has good chemistry and their intimate moments were well done but, sometimes, their expressions were a bit poseable making the scene look a little weird; but overall, the actors did quite well delivering their characters. The drama doesn’t have complicated plot twists and the conflicts are quickly solved. The drama has a happy ending but, in trying to make it comedic, it seems rushed and a bit awkward at the very end. Still, it is a good drama to watch while waiting for a great one to come. Was this review helpful to you?

This is a nice drama that started strong and lost momentum to give way to endless business interactions. The drama is about Xie Xiao Ni who is the only survivor of the Xie clan that was great embroidering and cloth merchants. They were betrayed and framed by their competitor, the Wu clan, and shortly afterward were killed. Xiao Ni becomes Changand, with the help of Prince Yang, brings back her family honor and glory. Ni Chang goes through a lot of unfair treatment and jealousy from antagonists but her character was too simple minded toward her enemies and to stubborn and even dismissive of her great love Ou Yang Ziyu which manages to survive by some tricks on the part of the writers since Ni Chang carelessness put his life at risk over and over again. Also, the chemistry between the leads was off in part because of the female lead's weird expressions, especially toward the male lead. Overall, the acting is not the best but the drama delivers entertainment. Was this review helpful to you?
