It’s not real horror, Chinese mythology explored but all man made to hide their crimes. The detective story is quite nicely written. Enjoy!;)

You don’t really have to. The first few ep of this drama will briefly show you their relationships and dynamics. It’s about the four main leads solving crime in piece meal. IMO, this season’s story telling is much better than season one. If after this, you can watch the first season if you want more in-depth background of the main lead.
