When I watched that ep and DuGu Xia Shu, I kept thinking that he will screw up the case, but gladly he did well. The third and fourth case will be much shorter.

This author is not big on happy romance, you see most of the main crucial characters have unhappy love life. I am reminding myself not to be invested in either leads’ romance track.

I have been wondering why need for revision. The novel is good as it is and part 1 follow truthfully, since they can max up to 40 ep., why won’t TH allow the story to be told as it is. As you rightfully pointed out, such revision really messed up and no justification of the characters’ arc. But well guess that’s TH’a judgement call.🤷🏻‍♀️

Hmmm…I understand how this drama is trying to show Ye Ding Zhi’s romantic interest is attracted to him…but the few scenes of her looking at him, especially the washing face scene, how it come feels a little lustful😅. Maybe it’s me, reading too deep into those expression and her shy stare. lol.

This! Why can’t the drama show a scene on this??!!! Probably this drama wanted the audience to end on happy note between XY and TSJ, and doesn’t want XY to grieve but only want us to grieve for XL.

well said. Same too. Out of the three cases shown so far, this is my favourite. As you put it, it explored many layers, and role prejudice, choices and oath to a professional noble job like coroner, yet discriminated by society.

There is a couple of Sheriff, one of the new one is kind of good looking😍🤣.

Wow ep 15 and 16, fight scenes are impressive. Four ep completed the third case, that’s quick and twist after twist. Another well written case.
