You don’t have to. Its detective investigation by the main four leads. In season 2, in first few ep., this drama did briefly introduced their relationships. However if you want to know their deeper dynamic, after this, you can go back to finish Season 1, the underlying background and relationship May then be clearer.

LLF’s character has grown quite a bit in this season. More mature and less impulsive, also mulch better in his deduction skills. ;)

Most Emperor has the same problem, severe insecurities. Like Master Li said, “He is celestial god, no time to mess with earthly emperor.” What an insult. lol!

Hahahah…I was thinking that too, LLF’s clothes look expensive even when he is travelling. Must be a rich kid but didn’t expect his clan will be richer than Pei’s 😂

When I watched that ep and DuGu Xia Shu, I kept thinking that he will screw up the case, but gladly he did well. The third and fourth case will be much shorter.
