Yellow Boots, a melodrama that follows the story of Seol Yeon Hwa who got falsley accused of murderer and how she plans her revenge on those who wronged her, but also how she finds her purpose and the "light" that makes her want to keep on living.

THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST MELODRAMA I'VE EVER SEEN! (and I've seen a lot of them) reasons? Let me list just a few of the many:

The plot. When I first saw the amount of episodes this drama had, I shivered. I thought "is it really possible for a drama to stay to the plot without becoming too dragged out if it has 108 episodes?" My answer, YES. IT CAN. This is a true masterpiece so don't hesitate to watch this drama. 108 episodes may be a lot but it is definitely worth it. Every second of it added to the plot and it never felt draggy at all. Every episode had a cliffhanger that led the plot to the next episode.

It had a great cast. Every actor and actress played their part to add to the emotional feeling of the drama. Every character was well developed and alive. The good ones you loved, cheered on, and cried with, the antagonists you cursed and hated from the bottom of your heart. Those emotions wouldn't have been as strong if the actors and actress didn't do a good job.

The music. This drama had one of the best OST I've ever heard. Begining with the emotional intro song that totally give away a dark and dramatic wibe that the story has, to a more emotional song that plays whenever something sad or unexpected happens. I cried and laughed together with the character in this drama and I bet the music only added to the feelings.

Choi Yu Ra. Yes I know that she plays the main evil character, but seriouly she is one of the reasons to check out this drama. Without spoiling too much of her evil deeds, let's just say it like this "if you think that you know what a real bitch is and how far an evil person can go on living while lying, time after time, then you've probably never seen Choi Yu Ra in action. This woman is the definition of what an evil main character is. Just when you think that she can't get any more messed up she accepts the challenge and proves you wrong. It amazed me just how much a person can get tangled into her own lies, and where in the end, the only thing that can make you stay alive and sane is more lies. This woman is messed up and I applaude to the actress who played Choi Yu Ra for protraiting this pure piece of evilness that added so much emotion to this drama.

If these reasons that I've pointed out doesn't make you get interested in giving this drama a chance then I don't know what will. But one things for sure, in my opnion this is one of the best, if not THE BEST melodrama I've watched.

Are you looking for a drama what will completely blow your mind with its epic plot, amazing cast and awesome music? The this is the drama for you.

I must say that since 2013 seems to be a melodrama year, I felt like this drama would just be one of those "melodramas" of the year. But boy was I wrong. From the very first episode you get pulled in and the drama becomes a straight 10/10 ride all the way to the end. There were times when you thought like "omg will he really succeed in doing this?" or "omg will they find out his real identity?" etc. It was like watching a suspense movie that constantly held you sitting on the edge of your seat, and at the same time it had those cute and romantic moments where you feel as if the time had stopped for our main characters and you get drowned in all the emotions. But the plot is not the only amazing thing about this story, what both amazed me and surprised me where the characters, or to be more precise, the actors and actresses. Jo In Sung was simply pure epicness in this drama. He did an amazing job portraying Oh Soo, a man with many sides, a man who both hated and loved life. Song Hye Kyo was just....wow O_O. No comments, seriously. She shun in this drama so much that it made me speechless. She played the role of a blind girl so well, that I had to check as I watched the drama if she wasn't actually blind in real life O_O. How did she manage to play it so well? It looked so real....just wow. She seriously deserves an award for her acting. Last but not least, how can we talk about TWTWB without mentioning the other two "main characters" played by Jung Eun Ji and Kim Bum. If Jo In Sung's and Song Hye Kyo's acting and chemistry didn't blow my mind completely, then this couple certainly did! I shipped this couple like crazy! I'm not even joking. I loved their craziness, their jokes, their chemistry, the way they looked at each other....gah just everything about them made me fangirl. Not to mention that Kim Bum rocked the red hair and looked super-sexy as a rebellious guy in his late teens/early 20's.

ENDING: Some people were a bit disappointed with the ending since it felt a bit rushed and unexpected, but I personally loved it. I think the ending was perfect and if you look into more detail around it, it didn't just come out out of the blue. Withing spoiling anything for the viewers who haven't seen this drama, all I can say is that I felt that the ending fit this kind of genre of drama. Oh Soo played a dangerous game, which could mean death to both him and the people close to him and in that kind of gambling-gangster-business having to deal with decisions such as "is it worth risking the lives of the people I love just to gain this?" is a everyday life-style. So, to be completely honest the decision Kim Bum's character decided to take didn't surprise me to 100% but at the same time it was "expected either" it was somewhere in between, like you could see it happening but at the same time you wished that it wouldn't. I know that some people had hoped for a happy lovey-dovey ending, but this was a sad story about the value of life, guilt and promises and I think the ending was the perfect cherry to top the cake known as That Winter, the Wind Blows.

First of all, this is probably one of the best if not THE BEST high school/fighting dramas I've seen so far!
The action was pure gold and the guys being smexy and handsome + shirtless at least 10% of the entire drama only added to the awesomeness.
The acting was great, you could definitely feel the emotions each one of the main leads expressed. The OST was amazing too! I fell in love with the theme/opening song from the very first episode and I would fangirl whenever it was played during the drama. The only thing that kind of disappointed me was the ending. I just feel like there could've been more and therefore I really hope that there will be a season 2 or a movie that can give us a proper ending. Becuase of this small remark I can't give the story a 10/10, but it is definitely a great drama to check out if you like action dramas and hot guys.
