Exactly, finally someone with sense! I undersrtand what you mean but I disagree in this context. In modern times it would be seen as a major faux pas but in those times a woman divorcee with no powerful backup is pretty much exposed to anything. Women needed male sponsors to survive - be it a brother, father, husband. She pretty much can't rely on any so she needed to hear this reassurance at this moment IMO.

Because there’s a whole life you are not privy to. We are in the FL’s dream but we didn’t see what happened between the 3 before her coma. Just like it’s hard to understand why she’d love the other ML so much to the point of doing evil things to her rival. Out of all 3 men the love she gets from the Lord makes most sense as he is the one who knows her best (they grew up together so he anticipates everything she does and knows how to rile her up). He is also the only one who loved her when she was doing evil things too.
