It’s not that simple and I really like how the drama is showing us the complexities of DV, especially if you’re married AND in a culture where men hold a majority of the power.

I am also noticing that he is saying more and more that Bai Lu and her team make choices - not him…so maybe he’s also reading what people say😏

This right here!!! She didn’t know he was creepy because he hid it so well. I’ve never liked him or the first man - both wanted to not only stifle her light, but also put her in a gilded cage.

It is definitely hard to read a book and then watch a show that’s not true to form!
But sometimes even when it is (for example I absolutely hated HL and didn’t enjoy AASS much better even though I really like many of the actors), we still might not like a drama - and that’s ok.

I’m quite the fan of slow burn…insta love (unless it’s a time skip) is creepy to me.
Regaining trust after both liking someone for so long and then being openly put in blast takes time - I’m glad they show what might be realistic to some in the drama and aren’t in a hurry.☺️

I know right! I also like how it’s paced because real live doesn’t happen in 5 episodes. The part where they fight because they didn’t know and now getting to know each other in daily life is the best kind of slow and steady building.

I’m going to have to agree with you. It’s the same directors and the actors have really good chemistry, the lead is intelligent, and I have to say I like the supporting cast a bit better here, as well as the 2nd main couple.
But LiS leads have amazing chemistry and play off of each so well that the air crackles.

What I find most interesting is that people rated this harshly when it’s on par with My Boss…
