I think the American version will be good in it's own right. An American remake will probably adapt the korean drama slightly, to fit their culture so that it appeals and relates to the American viewers watching it. The original Korean drama will probably get their own fair share of scrutiny against the American version because some who will watch the American version might relate better to the American remake than the Korean one.
The issue of whether one is better than the other, is irrelevant because it's really up to people's discretion but I think that both dramas will do the original story justice, in their own way!
It might be good to mention that the producers are all Korean, so that might help keep the original Korean drama element that 'The Good Doctor' had into the American version. Regardless, I think this is the first ever American TV show that adapted a Korean drama. Super excited to see that happen and will definitely watch it, just because I want to see how the characters will develop knowing American tv shows span their series along several seasons, compared to Korean dramas typical 16/20 episode mini series style!
Also watching it because Freddie Highmore is an amazing actor, and Antonia Thomas is playing the female lead and feel she has great acting potential and am excited to see how she acts out her character!

agree, agree! Not an easy thing to pull off a multi-season tv show into a small little mini series. Look what happened to Korea's 'The Good Wife'. It was good but pale and lackluster in comparison to the original show.
I remember the ending of this drama and when I watched it all, I thought to myself.
"Wow, the whole drama was kind of pointless. They went through all that trouble for literally, nothing!"
My lowest rated drama on my list, ever!
I.....I don't even know what to do with myself here now! Haha, just finished watching ep 16 and it sounds kinda crazy knowing how Korea's rigid marriage traditions are, but is this drama turning into a polygamist thing?!?! I mean, the fantasy fan-girl in me is shrieking her head off, because seriously guys, who wouldn't want these two guys all to the themselves. (I'm sure we've ALLL had that kind of fantasy, haha) but I feel like if I were in Nari's shoes, I wouldn't be able to date two guys either (and now they're going to all LIVE TOGETHER!?!), even if they were ok with it. ( No really, I wouldn't be able to, haha)
But in the end I wonder how the rest of Korea's society is reacting to this sudden turn of events. I wonder if the actors knew where this drama was headed when they signed up for it, and if they didn't, are they ok with it? Some actors wouldn't be ok with it, because they seriously uphold the monogamous type of relationships. But anyways, a really interesting drama to watch. Not sure how this is going to end, to be honest!
