She is not that unfashionable. Athletic wear and hoodies are not a thing everywhere,I think that's a common misconception.…
I had nothing against her shoes, it was mainly her shirts (though not all of them). Some of the combos were really bad and they clearly did it for comedy (since it's a romantic comedy after all). The disconnect for me was that I've never come across someone who dressed like this in their late 30s (working mom or not). She clearly knows how to dress and might've overdone the ahjumma fashion on purpose so she could appear as Hye Yi's mom.
p.s. I googled grandma fashion and some of it is really cute. This was not that unfortunately. :(

The entire thing is she never had time for herself. She is shown to be tomboyish from the start. Her not being…
Agreed. I have nothing against the actress. I know she is beautiful. This was clearly a style decision. They were aiming for her to look like she neglected herself, but they overdid it with the ahjumma combos. They clearly dressed her poorly as a form of comedy. They wanted to make her a caricature (a form of comedy) of a mom. Anyways, I feel like there is an unwritten romcom rule that if the FL has ugly hair or clothes that we get to see at least one makeover/transformation scene (even if it is for one night only) and we didn't get that in this drama.

Gurl, I hear you! Every time she said she was going shopping or leaving the cafe, I thought, this is IT, she's…
Lmao, I was really looking forward to a makeover scene. They did us dirty. 😭

I know she was a tomboy from the beginning, but that's a whole different style of dressing and this was not that. I get what they were trying to do (showcase that she was totally immersed into this mom personality and too broke to dress well), but they overdid it. She was dressed like ahjummas that are 50+ (when she was in her late 30s). In the last episode she dresses okay and it's more her style of clothing. She isn't a fashionista, but what she is wearing is still considered "normal". Just because you're a mom doesn't mean your ability to make decent clothing choices goes away. This is what bothered me.

Does anyone know if the older brother Jung entered the university with his brother or not, I couldn't figure out…
I don't know about that. First he traveled with his mom and then went to military service and came out aprox. 2 years later. So I'm assuming he will then try to take exam after coming out of military and starting fresh.

My biggest gripe was how FL was dressed. I wasn't expecting her to be fashionable, but did she have to be so UNfashionable? Just cuz she's a mom doesn't mean all concept of fashion gets thrown out the window. 🤦‍♀️

Would anyone recommend this drama if i wanted to watch a historical drama without all the tyranny, treason, politics…
It's on the lighter side, but unfortunately still has all of those. It's also not too heavy on romance since both ML and FL don't want to get married for most of the drama.

Love the wrap-up. It was interesting to see what I voted for vs. what actually made it to the top of the list. Looking forward to part 2.

I'm not surprised Through the Darkness was the most dropped drama. It was good, but it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea. I thought people hyped it without telling others what they were in for. You have to be in a certain mood to watch it.

p.s. I got Bingo 5 times. 😎

Title Praomook
I think the story had the potential to be better if they wrote it as a comedy instead of a melodrama. It has some romcom element to it, but it's like the outdated kind from 2000s lakorns. ML is just dumb and mean. There was no need to make him so toxic. However this is adopted from a novel, so maybe they kept his asshole nature the same.

It pretty much tells you everything except what actually happens to the missing grandson. 😂

This drama had some potential, but didn't quite come through in the 2nd half. Too bad the subs were terrible. But should I really be surprised? Even the official English title is grammatically incorrect.

Low budget and it seems like a bad knockoff of You're Beautiful. However, it's got some entertaining moments that usually come with gender bender dramas. Also, the animation is cute.
