I think a show like this is perfect for a second season. More episodic shows tend to have great potential for…
Agreed, one of the main reasons I want an S2 is to see the brother in a more prominent role. the moment he called her "big sis", I wanted to see more interactions between them besides just being in a courtroom for something Sang Hyeon did. I want to see them becoming a family, with or without their mother's involvement.
Oh I'm so excited! I read the translated novel earlier this year and now I've just found out that it's being adapted with 2 of my favorite actors!!! I can't wait to watch it!
You guessed half right. The game has a sponsor, but no government sponsorship. The drama was filmed by Tencent…
You could be right, although I agree with the other person as I had also read the novel before watching. I'm a long time fan of the author, and one thing I know is that Gu Man doesn't allow her works to be adapted unless she is allowed to be part of the production herself. I also wondered if Gu Man would have changed the game if it was picked up by another company, because we've seen it with the drama "Falling Into Your Smile" where League of Legends was changed to NetEase's «Onmyoji Arena». However, knowing the personality of the author and her usual requirements, as well as the overwhelming significance of the title throughout the story, I don't think it would have changed the game. Why... simply because I'm sure it would have been a deal breaker for the author. She simply could decide to not proceed with an adaptation with that company of they didn't keep the same game name. Gu Man loves to wax poetic, and the way she constantly incorporated the title in the actual novel makes me believe that.
i wont mind if Leo plays the ml because he's an amazing actor but his fanbase is very huge and this is a female-centric…
Agreed. This is one of my favorite Chinese novels because of how strong Shen Miao and Xie Jing Xing are both together and on their own. This is essentially Shen Miao's story so I'm really hoping the entire cast can do this justice.
It is the female lead’s half-sister and the male lead’s cousinAnd yes, they do end up together
That's what I did. After watching a few clips about the first part of the series, I just skimmed through the last 5-7 episodes and didn't feel like I'd missed much. The misunderstandings were just ridiculous.
ok it's a joke how terrible it is and they keep making it worse, episode 15 suddenly FL decides to take care of…
Hmmm I do like giving people the benefit of the doubt and will probably continue to do so, but thanks for giving me background. I hope her acting genuinely becomes better, or at least she gets good scripts and is able to perform then well because even the information on the drama puts me off. Even more, from your comments and from the clips I've watched here and there, I've definitely made up my mind to not watch it, so I do thank you for that as well.

Yes it's an awful drama but you can't just wish something bad on someone just because you didn't like their fictional portrayal of a bad script. The actors and actresses see this as a job. From the little I know about Chinese entertainment, small time actors don't really get much say in picking their roles. Maybe this was what she was told to get, or maybe she just didn't have enough resources and this is what may have paid the most in the pile she got. We don't know, so let's not assume. I'd rather wish the opposite, that everyone is able to improve their acting and get good scripts to choose from.
I got a somewhat happy ending for, what? 30 aggravating seconds? I'm just glad I finished this finally since I hate dropping series I've started. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either.

It was frustrating though, I'll admit
