actually i think its necessary, she needs this confession.
I hear you. But in his defense, she didn’t actually show her cards-he just saw them accidentally. Ultimately he ends up with the knowledge of what she’s been feeling , but “how” he found out is important too. He told his assistant that he wasn’t planning on confessing “yet” bc he thought she needed more time. We see her emotional breakdown as the endgame and are shouting “come get your girl” but he’s been dealing with her hot/cold moods and might interpret that breakdown differently. I was indeed upset about the birthday tho. I think it was a missed opportunity and he should’ve done more.

I agree that words are exactly what she needs. The way I understood ep 17, Tang Yu's sister was pushing him to make some kind of grand confession. Something over the top with like "will you be my girlfriend" with flowers and an audience and who knows what else. Think of the cheesiest, loudest drama confession scenes, and that's what I'm picutuing. But his sister is a kid, much younger than them. She also doesn't have all the info from Tang Xin's point of view. So I disagree with her. Tang Xin needs words, a full conversation that goes into the depths of Tang Yu's feelings. She's bared her heart to him; he needs to do the same.

I think she needs sincerity more than anything else. She's doubting if he's telling the truth, if it's only a wim, how deepy he truly likes her, when he started to like her, why he started to like her, and wonding why did he reject her in the past if he does indeed like her?
So I don't think she needs a "gesture" as such. I think they need to sit and down and talk. Truly clear the air. Based on her reaction to him confessing he'd read her secret weibo, she's finally realizes and has accepted that he's sincere toward her. His feelings are real. She might need one more final touch, for him to explain that initial rejection. So I don't want him to waste any more time trying to arrange something grand for a "confession". He just needs to sit down with her and tell her the full truth and she needs to accept it.
Yeah, don't. Wait till it's done. Based on the trailer it's meant to have a happy ending, but waiting until that 'happily ever after' shows up is sheer torture. Save yourself the agony that I'm going thru right now 😭😭
I'm glad ep 17 happened. It was necessary and and solid step forward-finally! BUT. Still not good enough. The idea of a formal "confession" at this point is ridiculous. They've both admitted to each other and themselves that they like the other. This isn't high school, children! Time to act your age! Just invite her to a romantic dinner, dammit, and shower her with rose petals or something. Get this train going already!! I swear if they waste the majority of ep 18 trying to organize a Grand Confession, I will reach thru my screen and strangle them!!!!
The more I watch each episode the more I’m getting Pride and Prejudice vibes. She is too prideful to reveal…
Hmmmm...yes and no. Pride on her part for sure. Prejudice on his part? Maybe in the very, very begining. But he's spent so much time with her while "pursing " her friend- he should know better. And now, he's determined to have her. I don't think he'd pursue her if he saw her that way. So what changed his mind about her during the time period from when he rejected her to when he began to pursue her? Nothing she's done imo would've changed his perspective regarding her shallowness. So i don't think he's prejudiced against her. There's a reason he rejected her initially, probably having to do with her shallow answer about why she likes him, but I don't think he belived her when she said it. I really need her to give him the chance to explain bc I think we're missing something essential from his pov.
These last two episodes kind of broke my heart. My poor, poor Tang Yu. How I wish they would just talk. I get that Tang Xin was deeply hurt by his past actions, but his current actions should have overcome that- or at the very least earned him the opportunity to explain himself once and for all and to clear up all the confusion and hurt feelings. That bite went straight to my heart. I feel beyond sorry for him and want to give him all the hugs. Tang Xin is taking things too far. And, for a character who's been shown to be level-headed and mature (based on how she handled his initial rejection and the plagiarism issue), I expect better from her when it comes to Tang Yu. Please, please, please, let them talk already!!!!
Gimme gimme gimme already!!! 😭😭😭
