Mr. Gu is literally the quintessential definition of the mysterious, dark, handsome stranger with a hidden past and a heart of gold, and I'm living for it. His chemistry with Mi Jeong is just a chef's kiss! And that scene where they are soaking wet, with a live wire dancing outside his room, in the rain, the faint orange light hitting them at an angle, I was like at the edge of my seat, just the palpable sexual tension; Oh my!!
A lot of comments and I want to reply to one comment lol but I cannot find it anymore O.o. So I'll let it here.…
See I agree with all your points and I still absolutely love Not Me, and I think it's a masterpiece!
And I think that has to do with the fact that in spite for all the glaring plot-holes ( I could add a few more to your list) in scriptwriting, Not Me still had a story to tell, which is so much more that dramas and BLs I've seen in the recent times.
A lot of the BLs I watched, including a really hyped very recent BL (that I won't name) had such a weak story that I lost interest by episode 6, even though they wrapped up the plot very nicely with almost no inconsistencies in their script.
To me what works for Not Me is that their actual story, or plot intent is air tight. Their characters even Gram (who had a 180 degree change in arc mid way) is fleshed out, relatable and astonishingly well acted by the entire cast, not one actor or actress (even extras) faulted in their acting department. And I'm not justifying the weak writing, or the inconsistencies in the follow ups in certain scenes, which boggles my mind because they thought the audience won't catch it or wouldn't question it.
But what I'm trying to convey is despite these faults Not Me is still a masterpiece. And, the reason to me again is that Not Me never lost its essence, through out all the episodes. Most of the times once the leads ( Sean and White in this case) gets together, the plot kind of dulls out, but this series kept the grip on us, made us sit at the edge of out seats keeping us hooked to still find out what happens next! And that itself is a quality I absolutely adored.
And to get back, to the huge holes in writing, I think we can attribute that to the lack of resources the Not Me team suffered. It has been reported here was as well as on Twitter quite a few times, how they had deficient funds and even lack of equipments to shoot scenes. My guess is this absence of support from the production team halted or played a big part in generating the gaps in writing.
At the end, I adore Not Me. It raised awareness, questioned our morals, had beautiful love stories, kept us riveted, had one of the best soundtrack for osts, the cinematography was outstanding, and told us the potential the team has when given the right funds, resources and support they deserve.
And no matter how they close out tomorrow, I'm a proud stan of Not Me.ππ
I'd choose White, because for me it's simple: Gun with glasses >>> Gun without glasses
It's Black for me, if I met him in college I would be drowning in a huge-ass crush over him, ( I just have a weakness for tormented bad boys who are actually good)!!
Todd must watch Black coming in via his security cameras around his multimillion-dollar penthouse, and immediately pop goes his buttons! Honestly, I don't remember seeing him with his buttons open bare-chested and preening like a peacock with White, like he is always with Blackπ€£ Todd just wants to be Black's sugar daddy,π and I think Black should take him up on his offer and then redistribute his wealth amongst the poor and needy!

He really doesn't care for my mental health or sanity.
