But how does that work though? When Kawi went back to the past, it was his futute soul went back to the old body,…
True that! It could be just a wondering angel captivated by Kawi's actual hidden goodness. 🤷🏼♀️ (honestly as much as my soul is dying to see Kawi and Pisaeng share a non-drunk kiss, I also wanna see the uncle and his significance in the story!!)
I always thought it was Kawi. He acts a lot like him. I think that's OG Kawi who realized that Pisaeng was his…
Yeah it could be any of them, or it could just be some wondering angel (like The Goblin) who saw the good in Kawi when he agreed to help with the bus and decided that Kawi needed to go fix his life!
Tumblr's new theory is magic lamp old uncle might actually be Kawi from the future🤣🙃 I was gonna put a spoiler tag, but unfounded speculation is not a spoiler. Right?!
Some of the reviews of this are just simply so asinine. They are finding fault with Dr. Cha for forgiving her husband and not getting together with Roy Kim. Now, No. 1. Sometimes, forgiving someone is a greater slap and punishment to the offender than revenge. Forgiving means the person who hurt you will never ever cross your mind or disturb your peace again, while revenge and hate mean you are still affected by that person's misdeeds and somehow he still commands your being. No 2. Not pursuing a romance with Roy Kim and having a successful career is actually super badass of Dr. Cha. She finally knows that she is worth way more than having a significant other. That romance or having a partner is not the only way to achieve, fulfillment in life. That your work, your passion, and your career can make a woman whole and absolutely content in life. I can't believe so many commentators here are screaming about being feminists and then crying over her not getting together with Roy Kim. WTF.
The Ending is literally a mirror of everything that was said in the first episode.
Everyone: Kawi is so rude, so mean. He hurts everyone, how can he be so selfish. He is so immature. How can anyone love him? Max and Pisaeng are better suited.
Meanwhile Pisaeng to Kawi: 🎵🎶🎸 You go down just like Holy Mary Mary on a, Mary on a cross Your beauty never ever scared me Mary on a, Mary on a cross … If you choose to run away with me I will tickle you internally And I see nothing wrong with that Nothing wrong with that (Mary on a, Mary on a cross)🎵🎶🎸
I feel like some people have been missing one of the main points of the show. It's not just about romance. It's…
So true!! Like Kawi is such an exceptionably relatable character, (the last character in BL's who I could identify with to this extent, was Teh from ITSAY back in 2020). Kawi has an insecurity complex brought about by so many things, he is distrustful of people, and he always assumes the worst, but all of this is just what makes him so very human, so real-life. Especially like you mentioned, he is aware of his faults and never shies away from owning up to them and saying sorry, apologizing, and trying his very best to correct his mistakes. And any help, any love he gets from Pisaeng, he keeps asking why do you think I am worthy of this? Kawee is an emotionally detached introvert. These introverts are trauma-based introverts who experienced detachment at a very early age. Usually a combination of the loss of a significant family member, bullying, and social isolation from peers due to money and etc. This is very apparent in his childish maturity. He is smart, but he lacks the maturity to get things done, see the big picture, set long-term goals, or understand repercussions. We notice a slow maturing with society exposure because honestly, friendships and experiences are part of the bases for emotional growth. That whole, learn from your mistakes is really a thing. I also think that it's due to this that he has an obsession with Pear. It's more like a goal and a comfort.
And Pisaeng, he is absolutely attracted to the forthrightness of Kawi (along with being cute of course). I don't think Pisaeng has known anyone in his life who is like Kawi and the fact that Kawi doesn't string Pisaeng along selfishly but simply because he can't understand his own feelings. Plus Pisaeng himself is so afraid of rejection that he probably also shrugs off drunken kisses without allowing Kawi to explain. Love by definition doesn't listen to logic, particularly unrequited first loves that lead you to understand who you truly are and Kawi was Pisaeng's awakening. I would also say because everybody is so attracted to Pisaeng's looks &/or wealth, he probably struggles to form connections with other people who try to maybe approach him first or even admire him, likely because he doesn't believe any of them actually want to be his friend but are rather after his outward shell. And also from the preview next episode we do see Pisaeng draw the line, meaning he is self-aware that his indulging Kawi in these times is also hurting him, so yes he is trying to better himself too. He lied that he didn't check Kawi's message, again that's him being aware that somewhere somehow, he does need to move on.
Needless to say, Pearmai is also quite an intricate character to study in bits and pieces and glimpses we've got, and again, I would just say she is also incredibly human. And I am glad I am seeing such a female character being shown in a BL.
Definitely will be an unpopular opinion: I am not a fan of Kawi. He is too immature and childish for me. Aren’t…
You think college kids are mature??!!!! And Kawi's flaws are what makes him so human and not just some BL character. Pisaeng's love and loyalty is genuinely so real for so many of us who've been in unrequited love.
Ok, that tiny moment where Pear was all packed up and leaving, and then Pisaeng came in. I felt like she knew or thought something about them. And it does seem like Kawi has probably drunk-kissed Pisaeng more than once... So I don't know if she sensed something, before Kawi even realized that he himself might be in love with Pisaeng or just... something. And if this contributed somehow to Pear breaking up with Kawi. (Apart from alcoholism also possibly contributing to the breakup, which he probably developed after his father's death).
This is a slow burn done well!! For once we don't have an aggressive man trying to force another one to desperately love him, but rather respecting the other person enough to make him fall in love with him, on his own accord. Pisaeng is what the color green is. Kudos to Gawin for portraying him so well. And Krist can ACT. Regardless of everything Krist is just a freaking amazing actor. I'm blown away. Also, I absolutely love the fact, that most characters here (except Max) have real-life flaws.
Edit: Pearmai and Kwan should dump Not's cheating ass, and raise the baby together.
