Ok, to be honest, my problem with this particular ml is that he doesn’t stands out after 18 episodes (I haven’t watched ep 19 yet). He hasn’t done anything remotely of value in all these episodes. What has he even done in the heavently realm since he arrived there?

In the earlier episodes, his quests with the fl to find the phoenix’s shattered essence were all very formulaic, and not challenging enough. The fight scenes are forgettable and he, again, did not stand out in these scenes. I am not asking for him to be badass in every scene but I am just not getting main character vibes from him. Even that scene when he received the sword was lukewarm.

Sure the ml is kind to everyone, and, I admit, it is refreshing to see, but he is also so gullible and easily tricked and manipulated. It’s just frustrating to see, given that one episode he seems to show growth (ep 10) and in next few others, he is easily tricked. I guess we can say that he is inexperienced but at the moment he is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Even his sword is smarter than him.

I am also not moved by the romance between the fl and the ml. Sure there is chemistry but the relationship went from friendship to them finally getting together, but the relationship lasted 1-2 episodes because others started to interfere with their relationship. It is not enough for me to view their romance as epic and want the fl to get back with the ml when she is reborn as the phoenix.

It’s not that I hate or do not like the ml. I am just not moved by his character so far and I am disappointed in his character: not trusting his beloved, choosing to remove her fairy bones, killing her and then stalking her after killing her (based on the trailers).

I am hoping for some character growth!

I knew this show was messing with us, when they showed grandma kinda bending down with her eyes going left right as if she was about to pick up that photo. Ain’t no way, Ain’t no way. You won’t make fools of us with these cliffhangers!

I know all of that but she doesn’t appear like she will give him much of a cold shoulder even when she becomes aware of it all. It would be a bit warm.

But why remove her fairy bones? wouldn’t that remove her powers?

I think all the 27 reincarnations will not be showed in full detail. I think she will die in ep 25 and back as a phoenix by ep 28

I remember dropping it for petty reasons at ep 1 lol. It was immediately after I had finished watching Love & Destiny.

This show is ABSOLUTELY infuriating! The holidays are just around the corner and I want to be in a happy place and cannot be mad at a show lol. So, I am putting this on hold again until the end! I hope I am strong enough! lol
