Not sure where in my review I jumped to a conclusion - I stated what I felt about TTH (that it "was written like a puff piece for catholicism"), but not why I think TTH is like that. While I won’t dispute your argument about Thai law, I’m not sure that’s the reason TTH is the way it is. I’m not even sure legal protections you mentioned would apply here: presenting catholicism or the church as they really are on LGBTQ issues is neither insulting nor defamatory. Also, look at the initial trailer for TTH – no sign of sugar-coating there. In that trailer Arnon seems to be guilt tripping Tanrak, accusing Barth and trying to prevent them from being together; it’s implied that Arnon’s actions are at least partly responsible for Tanrak’s struggle. Showing all that seems to be within legal boundaries, as the trailer was released, shown during GMMTV’s presentation on 26.11.2024 and is still available on YT. If all that got changed later, it might have been for other reasons than to avoid legal liability.
I see. Regardless of my review or other reviews on MDL I do encourage you to watch the show if you can. It might be that you'll see the show in an entirely different way than I did - and that you'll enjoy it far more than I did.
"My accent sounds like I was born under the Eiffel Tower" "More like you sleep under the Eiffel Tower" I nearly choked on my salad while watching this scene.
Is this an editing error or did I misunderstand or miss something? In the flashback scene Saithan has markings on his neck, resembling a hand. Initially I thought this would come up during Saithan's argument with Phayu - but it didn't. Then I thought that - during the argument - Phayu would grab Saithan's neck and that those markings were there from a previous take of that scene - but now I'm not sure anymore. Ideas, anyone?
It's a cute show with adorable boys—exactly what a girl audience wants. The cinematography is gorgeous, the…
Not sure if there's a law or rule or just a custom, but Thai BLs seem to refrain from showing underage performers kissing. "When Oranges Fall" was filmed in 2026, when Almond was already 18, but not Progress, who turned 17 on 26.03.2026. I remember something similar with Gemini's and Fourth's first kiss in ep. 6 of "Moonlight Chicken" (which was filmed several months before MSP) - it wasn't shown, but heavily implied; all we saw in three separate shots were the backs of Gem's and Fourth's heads. At the time of filming Gemini was either 17 or 18, but Fourth was only 17.
What is the name of this actor? I feel like I've seen him somewhere but I just can't place him
Like it says in the description: it's "Caesar" Phudit Kannaphan. He's managed by WARY Thailand, just like several other cast members. Not sure he appeared in anything prior to "Your Dear Daddy".
Once they all got engulfed by fog and everyone faced their fears I was hoping to see Inn Sarin portraying Tong's nemesis of some sort, like a shadow from the past, someone he lost or had to abandon. Most BL watchers would get the reference. I know that ship sunk, but Inn's cameo in that particular capacity would make sense.
When SIla said he dated a junior from his university I thought of "Zo" from "A Boss and a Babe", played by Ohm Thipakorn Thitathan. What a weird connection to make.
This series has the same mistakes as “my grandpa is a bl writer.” If it’s marketed as a bl, has a bl in…
I'm forced to agree. I was surprised that a show consisting of just 8 episodes has so many characters and provides them with so much screen time, that the main couple seems sidelined for most of the show's duration (at least for now). Having a lot of characters isn't bad in itself, but here they all have too much to do and to say - a girl side couple in the making, two friends coming of age, business dealings, old rivalries between families... Why all of that was included and given so much attention (instead of being a mere addition to the main plot) is beyond me.
You mean the end of ep. 2/start of ep. 3 stuff with Saithan? I was thinking more in the direction of traumatic past/suppressed memories of Saithan himself.
I like that both Ko Neung and Ko Song pretend to be tough - and how both Progress and Almond try to present that. Almond brings this weird mix of surface calm and actual strength to his character; there's a facade of being assertive, which drops with each nervous glance at his screen partner, but there's also true resolve and quiet determination to his. Ko Neung - because of all his antics - is all over the place, often infantile and annoying; there are also glimpses of real maturity - that's more of Progress than his character, I guess - showing that there's a young adult in that child.
Glad I wasn't the one to point out Fourth's veeeeeery long screen absence - but it bothers me too. I checked that…
Not sure there's a connection. Fourth's father died in April 2025. Fourth was working before that (that included part of the US tour with Gemini, which took place in April 2025, his usual side gigs as well as acting - he filmed "Kijsada Paradise" in February and March 2025, if one is to believe MDL's comment section) and after that. Still with his buzz cut he was already back working in May 2025 - attending events, modelling etc. The rest of 2025 was pretty much like Fourth's 2024 and 2026 - not much resting there. The missing part (and that's what my comment was about) was a GMMTV show starring Fourth.
This is another GMMTV show which will not be released on YT - it'll be on GMM25 and viu only. Was there an announcement/statement by the company with an explanation of why more and more of their releases are not happening on YT or are geoblocked on YT? I tried to understand that with "Love You Teacher" (geoblocked), "When Oranges Fall" (only ep. 1 and 2 will be released on YT, the remaining 10 episodes - only on GMM25 and oneD) and "A Dog and A Plane" (to be available only on one31 and true visions NOW) - tried and failed. Will those shows be re-released on YT, like "Dare You To Death" was? (to those who did not notice: on 27.04.2026 - 2 months after the show ended airing on Netflix - all 10 episodes of "Dare You To Death" popped up on GMMTV's YT channel)
Last week I was complaining that the first half of the series barely even felt like a BL anymore, it was just…
I do agree that they neglected the BL aspect of the show in ep. 1-6. I usually complain when a show "forgets" that it's primarily a BL. However, here I'm enjoying the show sufficiently and that issue doesn't bother me as much as it normally would. I'd say that the general feel of the show is good, focusing on Nakhun as a "fish-out-of-water" character (hence having less time to get romantically involved with Phop) was so far justified and the secondary/support couple is filling some of the missing BL content - all of that balances (at least for me) the lack of more intense romantic content with the main couple in ep. 1-6. One could even say that - when it comes to Nakhun-Phop - this a very slow burn type of story (a lot about the setting and both main characters reminds me of "A Tale of 1000 Stars", another slow burn - albeit there tension between both main characters was strong from the very start). So far the only time this became a problem was in ep. 7: all the revelations regarding Nakhun's and Phop's feelings for each other felt like they came out of nothing (not entirely, but clearly not enough work was done to prepare them). That being said, the entire evening sequence with Nakhun and Phop is so good, that it more than compensates for that missing buildup.
Fans from 2023 till February 2026: how come a show that was filmed, that’s basically ready, can’t be aired? Why doesn’t anyone finish and release it?
Fans in early Feb 2026: is it possible? Are the rumors true? Will we get to see JeffBarcode after all?
Fans after SOS’ statement from 13.02.2026: it’s all over since Jeff says he's not involved.
Fans in March and early April 2026: we’re getting "Wooju Bakery" this April! Hooray! Also fans during that period, jokingly: will Jeff and Barcode speak Thai, while the rest of the cast will speak Korean? Sounds interesting!
Fans after watching the trailer: this looks sooooo good! And we’re finally getting it!
Fans after SOS’ statement from 17.04.2026: let’s boycott it, Jeff&co. didn’t get paid.
Fans after Habitus’ statement from 18.04.2026: so were they paid or not? are we supposed to boycott? whom do we trust?
Fans once GagaOOLala dropped the show: discussion’s over since there’s nowhere to watch the show.
Fans after wavve released ep. 1-2: what a disappointment! That’s not the show that we’ve been waiting for! And they speak Thai and Korean – that’s so confusing, especially with no decent subs. Also: watching it illegally is okay, ‘cause the show was made illegally.
