She really is an awful mother. I wonder how screwed up her other set of children are.
I really cannot with the resolution - it was even more half-assed than Yotha's π€¦ββοΈ (can that be even called an apology?) She always was and will be a monster to me - her other kids must be happy for them to move to England, so when she comes back to Thailand (every month, apparently) they can take a break from her. Her thanking Wine for opening Fai up because "even her as a mother could not do it" was so fake. Lady, you just need to take a tiniest bit of interest in your son and he would be an open book to you (he was still basically begging for scraps from the table [of love]). She only made any effort once Fai was standing up to her (=slipping from under her control). I actually wish that Fai ditched her to go to Wine π Her saying that she know about how Fai felt the whole time was just reaching another, seemingly impossible, low. There is no team of mental health professionals who can fix this mess.
I don't get how Gun can be so "Mommy! Mommy!" (+spy!) with her π€’ And they still repeat "Fai doesn't know what love is" π€¦ββοΈ Wine should have recorded his reply and play it every time they say it π€
I think a lot of people either didnt watch the YothaGun storyline or are just forgetting it. But the fact is Yotha…
I think you write about the novel Yotha because series one was not protective of Fai (against the mother + in general keeps him at an arm's length + has negative opinion of Fai from beginning, like when he was constantly threatening him not to mess with Wine). In EP09 it's Fai who comes up with an excuse to get Yotha out of the house because their mother is coming. Nobody reacted to mother's cruel confession in EP16 about how she used Fai, nobody seemed to see notice how heartbroken he was - it was honestly hard to watch. People who only watched series see how Fai is treated by basically his whole family (this is for that monster they call mother: "someone who loves you wouldn't do it" from Family Line by Conan Gray) and Yotha doesn't look great here (in EP21 Gun asks him if Fai was informed abouth change of plans and he basically shrugs that off and "virtually" puts it on Newton's shoulders... do you know who did almost identical thing? The mother putting the blame on the father in EP22 π¬). Let's not forget that it seems like Fai was kind of shunned by his family when he was abandoned by mother (by that I mean Yotha refusing to share room with him, Newton apparently stopped being good brother) - they were hurt by her and they were kids but so was Fai (arguably she messed him much more up) and he was the youngest - he decided not to put his trauma on others and treat others like Yotha did.
I just figured out that Mark( Wine) was in sky in your heart .. I totally forgot
How could you?! π I honestly was forgetting his name sometimes and thought of him as Prince more than Mark (as somebody else pointed out - there are plenty "Marks" but Prince suits this Mark more).
I'm rewatching FaifaWine and can't help but point out the little details. In ep 19 (4/4), When Wine finds out…
I will add some criticism to it: the way Wine did the change was incorrect (you have to clean the screen and such) - it takes more than 5 seconds to do do the whole exchange (not 30min, as Wine was telling him earlier but still). Let's not forget that because Wine was certain that Fai is not going to change the screen protector, he brought multiple bandaids! I really like that they each take care of the other and it's not onesided (and let's face it: Fai needs somebody who actually cares for him and puts him first, as he is not getting that from his family).
was going to say the same thing but have said it more than twice here. still, can't get tired of rewatching from…
I have been doing rewatched of their story line for at least 3 weeks and I watched EP17-22 this week already 3 times (I am skipping some parts, though). I thought I had it bad with Not Me or Last Twilight but FaifaWine are just the healthiest couple (I am starting some spreadsheets coughing kisses, hand holding and their "cameos" in other couple's storylines (with time stamps). I was not planning to buy DVD for this series but those two are making me rethink my decision.
I really need Faifa and or Wine to give a piece of mind to the mom (and also the rest of the family, but I doubt…
I see simple solution - no contact. Since she is leaving soon (and moving to England with her new family), so it's not like she will be bothering him. No contact = no disappointment. For rest of his family... perhaps soft low contact and see how it goes. He now has Wine, so it's not like he doesn't have a family. Side note: will we get Wine's family meeting? I wonder when/how he will come out.
currently watching ep 17 but why i saw yotha's name in some comments saying bad things about him related to fifawine…
Fai is generally taken for granted by people in his life (and his mother is basically a monster, her forgetting his allergy is just the tip of the ice berg - I so hope he will not make up with her, but if forgiveness gives him piece of mind I would be ok with that). Yotha is quite biased about Gun but that's how some people are in relationship π€·ββοΈ (not a defense of that kind of behaviour). The part that really angered the people was Fai picking up his mother from the airport, waiting for 5h there (+freaking out that something happened) and it turned out that his whole family knew that she changed her flight but nobody informed him. And apparently it wasn't the first/only time π The worst part for me is Yotha actually being aware of how Fai is and why but still being inconsiderate of him (only carrying about Gun). There is great quote from Fai (last sentence is kind of iconic): "Yotha lived with that trauma for like 10 years (not going to spoil it but you will see how much of a monster for all of her children the mother is in last EP of Yotha's storyline). When mom remairied, she moved me back and left me here. (...) Yotha made up with mom. But the reason that cleared up his trauma is what's holding me back from moving forward." If I was Yotha, hearing the mother's explanation would maybe make me feel better about the whole abandonment of me personally but I would have never forgiven her for Fai's treatment.
I really want Wine to tell off Newton and Yotha for taking their little brother for granted. Tell me you know…
I so do! Nobody thought to call him π€¦ββοΈ Yotha needed to be reminded by Gun. His answer was a shrug and that Newton probably called him. This is also another strike against the mother: she told everybody except the person picking her up (because sending at least a text is simply to hard). When I think she reached the bottom she finds a way to get lower π
I really like how Wine handles the whole mother issue. He is in that a total opposite to Gun (whose forcing reconciliation was just not my cup of tea) and I love him for it. He accepted Fai's feelings, validated them and was supprtive of his decision. I hope he keeps it up (as mom now tries to love bomb Fai, I think).
The more I get to know Wine, the more like him. Wine is definitely the most mature, honest and straightforward…
I would slightly disagree with you. He was not clear/genue/honest with his ex GF and best friend. I get why (internalised homophobia) but he does have this little "black spot" in otherwise great character. I think he needs to be the straightforward one in order to counterbalance Fai's people pleasing tendencies (in the novel they were actually "exchanging services": Fai was teaching him love and he was teaching him to be less of a people pleaser).
Honestly, since EP01, I was like: when is their storyline going to start? I knew I would like it the best (fingers crossed that no crazy OOC happens because that is the only way I could see me like them less) - every time we got snippets of his and Fai's interactions I was replaying it multiple times.
I watched them in Cherry Magic and was not happy how they (scriptwriters/director) like half-arsed their story. This doesn't change the fact that Junior is great at comedic scenes, especially when he gets like gay panic π€ and Mark is realy suitable for the calm, mature roles (like in Sky in your Heart, where his acting was not phenomenal but I liked him and Mek much more than JoongDunk in Star in my Mind). I can't wait to see them in My Love Scammer (not sure about 2nd couple because Ohm till now was mainly 1-expression-guy but fingers crossed that with workshops and good partner he won't disappoint.
Phuri and Fai's random english is giving me life Wine carrying that tumbler everywhere is cute. He's completely…
I read most of the novel (got stuck on volume 2 because Fai is to hyper for me there) and per novel Wine went on sirf of date with Tor (that was basically how he knew he had no feelings for him anymore). I wonder if they are going to incorporate that here - we still have 4 EPs and my guess would be the cursed EP23.
I really don't like the trope of forgive because "family". In Perfect 10 Liners the mother abandoned her family,…
No, I haven't watched yet - I am starting this series, so thank you for confirming that this kind of behaviour won't be easily forgiven (or at all). As you can probably tell from my comment - I still am angry about Perfect 10 Liners and it's been 2 weeks since that EP aired π
This is perhaps from the left field but... who do you think is going to be 2nd couple? So far each story had one but here the only new characters are Jay + Ben (best friend + YouTuber) π€ Or because of the past couples need screen time (we already saw both 2nd couples) there is not enough time for 3rd 2nd couple? π€
8 episodes in and if this isnβt a BL pretending to be a bromance, I donβt know what is. The lines, the delivery.…
I really don't like the trope of forgive because "family". In Perfect 10 Liners the mother abandoned her family, took one of the 3 kids (A) and then told them all that she would have preferred to take the other kid (B) and they would be happy then and never contact the family... this was her reason for taking A, so that A would motivate her to stay in contact with other kids. Let's add to that that she dropped A like a hot potato once she got new family & planned to ghost her A-C kids and leave the country without telling them but of course everything got forgiven (face of A kid gives me a bit of hope that he hasn't truly forgiven). And the cherry on the top: A, with whom she stayed for years, has severe allergy... which she just erased from her memory! I remember not just close+extended family members allergies/food sensitivities but also my neighbour kids, dogs in the extended family etc. but she couldn't remember her own son's! π€ I think in Bed Frinds mother did not receive forgiveness (here we had her knowing about SA that was continuously happening under her roof!) - we should normalise not forgiving (especially easily) horrendous behaviour.

Question: which Marc were you referring to?
