On Stranger Season 2 Oct 10, 2020
I didn’t connect with this season as much as the first. It started off strong but towards the middle I was struggling a bit. Luckily, the last four episodes were great and the finale T_T I really hope they make a season three!

I didn’t really like the first ep, but the second really hooked me. I’ll definitely keep watching for Tae Won Seok. I can already tell his character will be my favorite.

My first C-drama was A Love So Beautiful. C-dramas weren't really on my radar before, but I've started mixing them in with my usual K and J-dramas. I'm thinking of checking out a historical C-drama next.

Great article! I really liked all the cultural notes you put in since I'm only a little bit familiar with Chinese culture.

Hong Kong dramas are something I've thought I'd never watch. But "Love in Time" and "Threesome" both look like dramas I'd like so I'll check them out. Great article as always, Tine!

I feel bad for Hae-hyo. You can tell this is the first time he’s really struggled in life. His parents have completely unprepared him for any sort of hardship, but now they’re criticizing him for his career stagnating. As parents, they should always be encouraging him. Instead, they only seem to be there for him as long as everything’s good.

This is why I like Hye-jun’s mom and grandpa. Thanks to them, he has been able to stand on his own. But they are there for encouragement or comfort, if he needs them.

Haha the "static kiss." I find it both funny and annoying. The real bad thing about it is that it sometimes ruins the mood of the entire drama. I almost wish the main couple wouldn't kiss at all, if they were just gonna kiss like THAT. I'm happy that most newer dramas are straying away from that. Do You Like Brahms? has some really good kissing scenes.

Is this worth watching? It looks interesting, but I’ve never watched anything like this before so I’m hesitant.

After watching episode 14, I felt really disappointed. How could the author make Kim Hu Jeong the kidnapper of…
It’s not unthinkable why else would they write it in the show? I’m sure there’s some specific cases in Korea they got it from. Also I’ve heard similar cases from the US.

I like finding foreign actors who act in other countries. I always find it interesting to learn how they ended up there.

Title Do You Like Brahms? Spoiler
I knew Min Sung was going to annoy me from the 1st episode... I can understand why she would be upset with Song Ah for keeping a secret like that, especially since she still likes Dong Yun. Though honestly I would've done the same thing cause it's a lose/lose situation. I just hope MS doesn't make it a huge deal and it can be resolved quick. I'm impatient for the next episode now >_< (At least this episode had such cute couple moments for SA and JY!)

You made a lot of good points! Tbh I never really thought of it as problematic before, but I can see that now. I wouldn't say I like shirtless scenes. I guess I'm neutral towards them since 99% of the time they're unnecessary. If they got rid of them completely, I probably wouldn't notice at all. I hope that actors stop getting requests to show their abs during interviews. That's definitely a double standard. Imagine if they asked a woman that.
