Thanks for another great article :) I’ve watched a few T dramas so far. My favorite so far is Hi My Sweetheart (so funny and heartwarming). I’m currently watching It Started with a Kiss.
I've only recently started watching currently airing dramas. I actually really like watching 1-2 episodes a week since I'm more likely to finish the drama. It's hard for me to binge watch most shows. Though I've been burned with the last two shows (Was It Love? and To All the Guys Who Loved Me) I've watch, they both fit into Not Living Up to the Hype and the Theories Were More Interesting than the actual drama. I'm going to continue watching currently airing dramas anyway since I had so much fun with It's Okay to Not Be Okay.
A couple things that bothered me about the movie: 1) Since Gio was intoxicated, that girl whoever she was r*ped him! I know she was drunk too, but she was not passed out like Gio was. If he had done the same thing to Cali later in the movie, everyone would've been screaming r*pe! 2) Gio's father and brothers. Just *ugh*... I'm not someone who only believes in monogamy, but you know what I do believe in, HONESTY! If you're polyamorous person, you should explain that to potential partners. You shouldn't have them believe you're only dating them. That's just wrong! 3) Lastly, Cali's family and friends. I think they were to harsh on Cali and her mom. It's a personal decision on whether you forgive someone for cheating or not. Either choice is perfectly acceptable cause it's nobody's business at the end of the day. *End of rant*
I watched this last year not long after my grandpa died. When "California Dreamin' came on, I started crying cause The Mamas and the Papas were his favorite band. I think I'll always be fond of this movie because it reminds me of him.
I wonder if this is lost media? According to this article https://bb.watch.impress.co.jp/cda/news/7190.html, it was released on Yahoo Japan though I couldn't find it. Then you had to download it to watch it on Windows Media Player. I'm guessing that it's probably lost unless someone downloaded way back then still has it. Anyway, I guess it doesn't matter since even if I could find it, I can't watch it without subs.
Fuck rumours say Daoming Si might be Bright and like, that boy is nothing like him. He could play Shan Cai's bff.…
I think those are just internet rumors. Bright is very popular right now just because of 2gether. I agree that making this a BL is very disrespectful towards the manga, so I'm hoping those are . I'm not sure why they didn't announce a casting call for the FL (maybe they want to keep it in house). The Chinese version did a similar thing by only announcing a F4 casting call.
Oof I don't know how to feel about this, I want a 2nd Season of the chinese Version or the promised sequel movie…
I would like to see a 2nd season of the Chinese version, too! I hope they don't make it a BL. That changes the whole story really and then what would be the point of making it a remake of BOF? Also, I haven't heard that it took Angie 5 years to convince the mangaka. They're actually fans in real life, so I don't think that's true. Chinese dramas just take forever to be developed. I think Meteor Garden took a little over two years.
Cute article, especially the before and after gifs lol. That scene from Crash Landing on You also had me crying T_T. I'm sorry that your friends and family don't support you watching dramas. I'm lucky that my family think its weird, but they don't call a 'waste of time' at least. Everyone has their own hobbies so I don't understand that thinking.
As for me, I discovered dramas back in 2008/9 (don't really remember). My first J-drama was Hana Yori Dango and my first K-drama was either Heartstrings or Lie to Me idk which. I've had a long journey with dramas and have gone through several slumps. This year I started watching dramas again enthusiastically. I'm now watching dramas from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand, and Filipino movies.
