Jun was an amazing Kindaichi. I really enjoyed this one, especially the butterfly episodes and the final segment. Though the culprits can be easy to guess sometimes, they have made it really enjoyable, mostly because the episodes are not overwhelming and they are quite nice to follow. The writing is also very solid (except one episode) and the villains don't usually confess immediately, making this even better. Btw, Jun looked so cute on the Blu-ray extras! He also had very good chemistry with his co-stars. It's a shame we didn't get another season or special to this because it would have been so interesting considering the events of the finale. As always with Kindaichi series, the OST was 10/10. I'll miss it, it was quite unique. I prefer the more serious tone, so it was excellent for me.
The title is absolutely fitting because nothing happens in this drama, it's 90% dialogue with sex themed humour mostly. This drama wasn't for me, I should have dropped it at episode 1, but I honestly wanted to see if any of the characters would die so I kept it running in the background while doing other stuff. It's been a long since I have been so disappointed with a drama, I don't think I laughed or smiled even once while watching this. The characters were despicable and by the end of the drama, I wanted them all to die horribly. If you enjoy this type of humour, good for you, I'm just posting this to warn other users. Sorry to be overly negative, I truly do hope people enjoy watching it because the actors did well + the production wasn't bad either.
Ah yes, you are completely right! There's a strange error, it's probably because of dailymotion changes with regards to sharing. Anyway, I updated the links, you can try playing them now! Thank you for telling me.
I wasn't really a fan of the tough fatherly love in some scenes, but I did end up liking the main character. It was an enjoyable drama about pursuing your dreams and sticking to it.
It was a very interesting drama for sure. I didn't like the first two episodes at all, but then the plot started evolving and I found myself quite interested in the story and the characters. I don't usually watch historical dramas, so for me it was quite the change. I didn't particularly like the last two episodes and the ending is quite bittersweet/sad, but that makes it realistic. It was quite surprising to see so many green screen scenes to portray the past, but they did quite well. Additionally, having so many languages spoken was refreshing. Shan Mei was my favourite character, wish she got more scenes. This drama did well in mixing the bad with the good; the characters had so many hurdles to overcome, but they didn't make it too depressing. 8/10
Hello! Do u guys know where to find the rest of the episodes with subs starting from ep 7-25? Thank u! :)
Hi! I'm not sure where you watched the first ones, but you can get them all from furritsu's website https://furritsubs.wordpress.com/2022/11/04/menodoku-engsubs/ She keeps her site updated. Download the raws (video files) and the subtitles from there. Oh, and only 18 episodes have aired as of now. It will most likely finish 9/11th of December.
Update: 14/07/2023 I just finished making subs for this beautiful drama! I also revised the movie subs and made tons of corrections from the initial versions, please check it out at the link below. Hope you enjoy watching this and be sure to check out the movie continuation as well!
Interesting movie, purely due to the homoerotic scenes. It was sad to see one of male leads leave for the last 30 minutes of the movie. Hagiwara Kenichi having more chemistry with male characters than female characters is always a plus.
