Right on I hope to see Jin Han in more dramas and that the revolting discourse regarding his looks ceases. How cra cra are these fans even saying that Ren Jia Lun was too handsome....... for goodness sake some people should take a good hard look at themselves and their possible lack of good looks, before they spew their venom against hard working actors doing their best to entertain them.

I cannot believe the pettiness and vindictiveness of people in relation to the casting of Jin Han - OK he is not the usual prissy pretty man rather a gutsy masculine man who can actually ride a horse and in sword play looks the part. I frankly don't like the delicate white faced actors who often look more feminine than the female lead they star with. Give me a real man any day!! Love Jin Han.

There were 3 screenwriters for this drama. 2 of whom collaborated on later dramas that had a decent storyline. You know the old adage too many cooks spoil the broth. Well this drama proves that point. ........ Really poor character development actually none and a horrid storyline.

If you want to watch a drama where there is not a single character that is likeable then this is for you. Heavy on the angst. ML is a delusional know it all who causes no end of troubles for his family. The FL is beautiful , in fact all the females are beautiful but oh so effed up in the head its a pain to watch them enact their parts. The King of Chu is petrified of his evil mother and totally pussy whipped by 2 of his evil concubines, he is weak and relies on the ML for advice thence the reason Chu ended up as a ruined State. Between them they did a great job of wrecking the place. Its so bloody sad in parts and in others you want to throw the remote at the screen due to the stupidity of the men in the drama. Frankly the women are dangerously smart. So many people's lives are ruined by the ML and the Chu King. The costumes are magnificent, the acting is superb. The actual storyline is crap.

The last 2 episodes were super, waiting for Viki to fix the last 5 mins of English subs for the last episode, then I will re-watch those last 5 to 10 mins, quite a bit of the conversation has not yet been translated. What a lovely ending to the drama.

Take a peek at the beginning of ep 34 and the hair colour/style of Hong Yi. Grey hair really suits him. NO poor Hong Yi does not end up with anyone.

The ML portrays the part of a sanctimonious know it all very well. Saw Kyle Ma last as a vampire. So far enjoying the drama on ep 17. I actually don't really care whether ML ends up with the FL as he is such an unlikeable character at this point in time. He does a kind deed then just as you start to warm to him he then tosses that opinion on it's head by playing to his own vanity and in doing so makes decisions that will come back to bite him later on. Well acted by Kyle Ma.

Cant work out why this drama has a 15+ rating - FL sure can grovel

Under the rule of Xi Jinping, the censorship has resulted in too many insipid Costume C-drama productions. No real kissing, no overt sex, reduced violence. More spiteful bitchy style with the taking of poison and crappy tropes like hand fist wrenching, googly eyed accidental kissing, the taking of medicine and what's that silly blowing on the spoon even though the medicine is as cold as hades. Then the equally silly feeding of the medicine whilst the person is lying flat on their back. Try that at home folks and you will end up chocking to death. Don't get me started on the equally unappealing female leads with their baby voices, lacking any grey matter etc. This little gem of a drama calls it as it is a violent period in history where nasty things happened to the women and they were at the mercy of men. During the early 2000's many realistic movies were produced and are worth the watch. This drama is available on YouTube with English subs. Currently on ep 10 of 30 and really enjoying the acting. storyline and the realistic feel of the drama. So far no idiotic tropes to be seen.

I found the costume CZY wore with the puffy shoulders quite ugly and when I saw him yet again in the wedding outfit still with the puffy sleeves I realized it must have been due to the fact he is so petite beside JZ who has wide shoulders and strong body. The added puffiness was to enhance a slight build. Actually on the subject of both men I found the flawed Ye Hong Yi more attractive than the ML character. In fact CZY to me was a much better actor. Hope he gets some more roles as a main lead. Only an opinion not casting any dispersions.

Really disliking the hair style change, in some scenes the FL looks downright frumpy on ep 8 and she is still in that ugly pink dress. Perhaps they could not afford a proper stylist or the FL had a bad case of pimples on the forehead which required concealing, that is really the only reason that I can see for that ugly hairstyle. Overall this drama is OK as a filler whilst waiting for Jun Jiu Ling,

WXY at 19 is quite the man child, imagine how he will be as he matures over the next 10 years, looks like he will have a great future. This little drama is a hidden gem all the actors are very natural and thank goodness no stupid silly babyish females. I personally loathe the false baby voices that directors appear to think are cute, they frankly annoy the pants off me. Hope this drama continues in the interesting vein it presently sits in.

After I read your comment about completing the drama I watched the last episode. WTF was that about he was missing for what 3 years and no explanation as to why. Such nonsense scripting truly a 12 year old could have written it better.

I omitted this comment below, Jin Han can ride a horse!! Yay he looks hard nosed on that horse, at least we don't have that silly scene when the actor is supposed to be riding a horse, those fake horses leave a lot to be desired. LOL!

I am really enjoying this drama not showy however has some quality acting. The more I see of Jin Han the more I appreciate his acting range. His facial expressions are so good, I also love his eyes he is a very masculine man, who on the turn of a dime can change his expression from one of a charm prince to a super scary guy. Hope this drama continues to be enjoyable and does not fall victim to tropey rubbish.

I just love Kim Yoo Jung and AHS is great too. What a wonderful drama unusual and interesting too. Just love the chemistry between KYJ and AHS. Looks like the Koreans undertake serious chemistry testing as this drama, Nevertheless and Mr Queen all have the WOW factor displayed by the ML's. Wish this drama great success.

This drama spends an inordinate length of time on the SL love story which is pretty underwhelming. Wish they had instead spent a bit more time on the ML, Jin Han usually plays the part of a bad boy and he nailed it as the anti-hero in this drama. Jin has quite a cruel looking persona however the longer I watched him the more attractive he became, he is certainly a very masculine man, which is good to see. I am not into the pretty boys with smooth white skin. It was good to see some stubble here and there.

Dropped it at ep 20 just could no longer handle the stupid FL character, she has to be the dumbest FL character ever, not to mention childish. Impossible to believe that 2 x intelligent business men would actually be attracted to such a female. Supposed to be 18 yo acted more like a 12 yo - therein possibly lies the reason............. 12 yo and all the ramifications.
