In the novel, this drama happens while Shang Gu is waiting for Bai Jue’s comeback. So, it happens before ALP ending, when Bai Jue comesback, but after Bai Jue dies.

My God, you need to improve your interpretation level while reading. You can call ALP trash as much as you want, I don’t care, your problem. ALP is not “my drama”. If you can’t interpret what I write, there is no point of arguing with you anymore, I don’t need you to agree with me lol. And in what moment I said this production is trash because it is not like ALP? My point has nothing to do with ALP, I just said that I looked forward to this drama because of ALP AND because I read the original novel, in MTL, because I loved it so much. I don't even know if was you that replied me with whatboutism comparing it to ALP, supposed because people didn't like ALP at first too. Well, I know a thing or two because I watched ALP while airing and the criticism was never because of production quality, it is because people thought the first 13 episodes were boring, because they didn't like the FL actress, because the palette was "too white" *eyeroll*. The thing is, the criticism was never because of ugliness and cheap look. So, my point, is that this comparison is ridiculous, no need to bring ALP to this. If you want to compare the level of this production, you can compare it to Legend of Fei, which was equally a trash production. And it is MY opinion, and I call any thing I think is trash, trash, and you have no right to tell me how I should call any production.

In Goblin the female lead was 18 years old, while here the CP is what? 14? If not, he does look like it. So, your comparison is just poor and misplaced.

Hidden Love is a modern drama, modern dramas are filmed in real places and the clothes are “normal” thus lack of money on production won’t give such huge blow. Xianxias, on another way, rely on good production to be engaging, if the production lacks money, they at least need care, good taste and creativity to capitalize. This drama has neither money or good taste. An Yu’s wig is the perfect example how the production just didn’t care even to style a wig that flatters the actor. This is just laziness and again, I pity the actors because they are just the cannon fodder of this trash.

An Yu’s wig is infamous, Lusi is styled like her old cheap dramas, I mean, she is way over this level for years and they made her go back to that era. The figurines, the backdrops and backgrounds everything looks so cheap, tacky and trash. ALP at least looked expensive even when the plot was boring. It is truly a pity because I like the story AND the actors but this production ruined it for me.

So they started sleeping together but when did it started? I expected we would have seen a scene when they started sleeping in the same bed.

It is a good drama for who seeks light plot, cuteness, romantic lines and pretty people. There will be nothing too complicated or dramatic, and problems start in one episode and are settled in the same or next episode, they are only there to keep the pace. It is very entertaining if it is what you are looking for.
