I love Mamoru the Bara artist and Issei, the humble idol! I also really like the Japanese style music and narration. I hope they keep up the momentum and style. I'm waiting for the big Issei reveal too.
I have a feeling you will like the ending. Perhaps you should give the last two episodes a try?
What upset me was, Sasiwimol did not give Wang a shout out, even though he asked for one, and In spoke to him as Siam, not Wang. Just like with Siam, it's all about THEM and THEIR feelings. I'm still not sure why Wang set this up, maybe he fell in love with a picture, maybe he was curious. That's why I want Wang to take his father's ghost when he moves out. Siam was also told who he could/could not love. In decided that Siam could not love him, and Sasiwimol insisted that he love her. I already know that both In and Sasiwimol are too stuck right now. Thanks for giving me a hint that Wang will break out from underneath these two.
I put this on hold after Episode 6. I just don't see the point of supporting 2 middle age people who can't move on, and a the ghost of his father. Wang is a really awesome young man caught in between them. Wang looks so much like his father, but he is his own person. Maybe I'll come back and finish it when I'm ready. Hopefully Wang will move out, and move on. He can take the ghost of his father to live with him.
They could have deleted the protest arc, and focused on Dika instead. Yes, there are cliches because the writing…
I understand now about the general public stereotype. I think of the 1990's movie "Get Real" when I think about some of the closeted gays of the past. As much as we complain about BL, gay cinema isn't really cutting it either. Nothing has replaced Big Eden for me as far as a love story about regular guys. The straight community wasn't seen as the enemy and they even slipped in some humor. I hope that your former roommate has learned to stope being so scared, but I have the "privilege" of not being a male. I've worked with straight men whom others speculated about being gay behind their backs. When I would stick up for them or ask if that would be a problem, they always had a dumb answer, usually regarding mannerisms or their hobbies (one guy likes to knit). I work in a blue collar environment, so most gay men will stay closeted, which is sad. Like you said, governments and corporations, have their biases.
They could have deleted the protest arc, and focused on Dika instead. Yes, there are cliches because the writing…
Yes, the curse is human made, but I still like spooky rumors about a school or place of work. Just like how the "morgue" was on the floor where I worked. Nobody ever proved it to me, but it was still fun.
It could be generational, but I see the stereotypic gay man as the guy who is masc, in the gym all the time, and straight passing. Some of them will let their hair down in a gay club, but most of the the time, they want to pass. Even when you look at "homoerotic" photos from the 1900's - 1950's, it's mostly men doing athletics. I see those guys as the stereotype. My other female friends and I used to sneak peeks in a gay magazine, Honcho, and there were no gays shouting "Mary!" in them. I treasure gay fem men, as they would be the persons being bullied, even by other gay men. I see fem gay men as the brave gay men in history, and because they were never closeted, at the forefront of gay rights. Rock Hudson had a long career while being closeted, while Paul Lynde and Liberace were able to live authentically. The slang "gay" was not coined in reference to the masculine guys flexing their abs by the pool. Like I said, I'm old, so my opinion about fem men is different. Sure, the fainting is OTT, but so is a woman finding out she is pregnant by fainting, which is still done in dramas today.
I really want to be able to enjoy this as much as everyone here does, but I just don't see what's good about it…
They could have deleted the protest arc, and focused on Dika instead. Yes, there are cliches because the writing team are making Akk a stereotypical a tsundere character. Unless Ayan almost drops dead, Akk won't even let him sniff an inhaler, but once he almost dies, Akk will be the best nurse in he world. They need to figure out that they can make Akk a tsundere without over doing it. I would do the underwater kiss because in 2022, I would be worried about cameras. haha
The curse part is okay with me because I've been to many places that are "haunted" and know people who swear they have seen UFOs, etc., so I feel that is one of the most true to life things I've seen in BL. I worked at and allegedly "haunted" place that used to be a "morgue" and I've never saw or heard anything. while others have. I don't think a person can get to adulthood without a curse or haunted legend in their background.
I kind of just don't think about the arguments and focus on the cuteness instead. It annoys me how Chadok and…
PTSA voted in a uniform t-shirt at a public school because many students come from large families, and there were many families who did not have the financial resources to wear expensive clothes. Since it was public school, there was an opt out option, but most students wore the uniform shirts. All these years later, kids at that school are still wearing the t-shirts.
I don't agree with the violent attempts made toward the protestors, but the Principal is blaming the staff for a situation under her control. This last episode showed the adults are under pressure too.
I like how this show represents how teens actually think. They state one of their complaints is about the uniform not being suitable for the climate, and you show up in sweaters. They also wear designer clothing that many scholarship students would not be able to afford, yet say they are for equality.
I also can't stand that the Principal is such a jerk. If she is worried about the situation, she is the person in charge. She has the power and authority to put the kids on probation or expel them, especially since it's a private school. I know people who got kicked out of private school for getting pregnant and keeping their baby, so I know they have the power. I like this show, and enjoy the internal conflicts and struggles each of the characters have to face. I get a little frustrated with both the adults and kids in this series when they are so siloed.
I see that many people is angry about the Peak-Hom relationship, but guys maybe you have no idea how life in reality…
There's nothing wrong with an age gap, when Peak is 18 and at university or working, and Hom is 25, but right now, he is a minor and she is an adult. Hom understands that now isn't the right time, but she hasn't denied her feelings toward him. I wonder if a man wrote this script because in real life, Hom's friend would not keep trying to push the Peak on her. A child in high school has a different focus than an adult. As a child, there would be an imbalance in their relationship. He is still too immature based on his reaction to her letting him down. He got angry, accused her of not taking his feelings seriously, when it was obvious to me (an adult) that she was taking his feelings seriously, which is why she had to give him a boundary. If she did not take him seriously, she would have let him continue to chase her like a puppy. Yet as with most teenagers, he doesn't have the emotional maturity to see how much pain Hom was in, and how conflicted she was. How Peak handles this will determine if they can every be a couple in the future. Hom also needs a person to depend on.
I loved this series. I'm happy that there were fantasy elements and the new universe. The only weakness was, using Ohm and Nanon as the other couple because it distracted viewers so much from the series. Since Tess and Pakon's story had so many loose ends, maybe it's a setup for a new series with Ohm and Nanon. We never find out why Pakon kept running away from Tess What was unbelievable is that Talay just didn't seem that happy to see his mom after 2 years. I know most people would be overjoyed at seeing their family and friends, but they seemed to miss the alt universe more.
If they wanted to stay true to the story, they would not have made gender swaps. It's insulting to both the real persons and to women in general. It's kind of like fake affirmative action. The strength of the mothers and other women in the community were considered less than, so we needed to make sure women were in "power" positions, and of course, were always 100% correct. It's kind of similar to stolen valor, and led me to fast forward through some of the kween moments in this series.
It's a shame that Beam passed away at such a young age. He and Ek, were the best actors in this series. Beam had many years of work ahead of him. RIP.
It won't be as easy as it is today - can you imagine if you could only communicate with old-school IM and texting…
I have a family member who is co-dependent. Serial dater, has one claw into one guy before letting go of the other. If you like rock, she likes rock, if you like rap, she likes rap. Must call her 20 times a day. To me, she is the gold standard for co-dependent. Eiw isn't even close.
Because if they only move to Singapore they're in the same time zone and a 1.5 hour flight away and could visit…
I'm from the US and I love it, but I understand, and hope you can move home soon. I wouldn't want to be stuck in a country I hated. I wouldn't want my taxes paying for a monarch who wanted to be a tampon, as he stated in his recorded phone calls with Camilla, but the people in the UK don't seem to mind. As messed up as the US can be, both the UK and Japan had public assassinations in 2021, and 2022 respectively. No country is perfect, but I prefer the diversity of the US, that's what I'm comfortable with. No hard feelings.

Even today, international phone calls are 25 cents per minute, and since they didn't have smartphones, they would not be able to keep in touch with apps like they could today. They could use AIM or in this case MSM, but there is about a 14 hour time difference depending on the state, so they wouldn't really be able to talk like they do now.
I agree that Cake is dependent too, or else Eiw would have been the first person he told about the move. I'm thinking that it's taking him a while to realize what he feels is love, just like it took Eiw watching the movie to put a word to his feelings.
Twenty years ago, neither of them would have had a gay person to confide in, unless someone is their family happened to be gay. If Hom is having an internal battle over dating someone a few years younger, Cake and Eiw must be struggling too. I know that some people do not like Eiw, but I have known guys like Eiw growing up. They were not gay, but they were smaller, not coordinated and not traditionally handsome. I think that Earth is doing a great job making me remember kids like Eiw. It will be interesting to see if Cake comes back to Thailand with a different perspective after being in the states for 3 years.
I think they’re kind of trying to make it more realistic. Not everyone changes for the better. Remember that…
You're not paying attention enough. We watched the first few episodes where Pakon was running away from Tess anytime he saw him. Then to go from managing him 2 years prior, ending on bad terms to a hug. Then how Tess responded to Puen. They don't seem close at all.
I think they’re kind of trying to make it more realistic. Not everyone changes for the better. Remember that…
I forgot about that guy. I'm only puzzled because it seemed like Pakorn was so happy and hugged Tess, which made me believe they were close in the other universe. Tess' response to Puen was not very enthusiastic.
When your best friend moves during childhood, it's rather devastating. Add in that Eiw loves Cake, and I think the feelings are mutual. It would be a sad event, regardless of opportunities because in high school, your friends are your life. They have internet access, so they can keep in touch, but they will both be busy. I guess that I'll be sad during the upcoming episodes. I do hope they will get their happy ending.
