I'm pretty sure I remember Hong saying that their characters were only going to be PhiNong. If NutHong were going to be doing BLs than they'd be more open about it, they're a fanmade ship anyway and I don't think they're interested in that kind of relationship. As of now they're in the same boat with SkyNani and DewTee.
Be on Cloud too although they have been kinda quiet lately.
Sis, I'm still waiting on 8hours. They put Mile and Bible in two seasons of Jet Lag instead of giving them BLs. I get that it's their choice, but still... I miss JesBible. T^T
TleFirstone sure are keeping themselves busy, they've got this series, the new Khemjira, and their merman series all in the works. All three have completely different vibes too, mad respect if they manage to pull off all of their different characters successfully.
DMD and Change being the only two production companies to realize that fujoshi like other genres besides slice of life and are willing to throw down money for it. (*u*)b
I think my only problem with this series is that it feels like the filming was rushed. Like every scene feels like it was shot in one take and the actors weren't really given a chance to properly embody their characters and portray the emotions fully. Otherwise I really did like it. The cinematography and the setting were gorgeous, the plot was interesting enough and very different from other bls, the wardrobe was very pretty (I especially loved the outfits made for the Mudan tribe), and I think the actors did a decent job. I liked PearlPeak better in Moonlight, but this series is still a good watch. A solid 8/10 for me.
As an aside, I find it hilarious that all through Moonlight I kept thinking that Peak's character must have some sort of healing pheromone because anytime he was away all of the characters would be on death's door, but then would get magically better the moment he came back. And for this series his character actually does have special pheromones lmao, really manifested that one.
Honestly, I feel bad for anyone who dropped this series. The ending was so lovely and well thought out. It's definitely worth the watch. Nakun started off with feeling awkward and out of place after his time travel experience, but the more he settles into Klao's life and sincerely tries to solve the mysteries happening around him the more he draws you in until you're just as invested as he is. And then when he's sent back, it was absolutely heartbreaking until he finds Phop again. The whole journey was so emotional from start to finish. NetJJ definitely delivered a full course meal for us to feast on. I can't wait to see what projects they have planned for the future.
i dropped this at 6 i thinkcan someone spoil the key things that have happened up to now?
Phop and Nakun/Klao realize their feelings for each other and start dating. Nakun/Klao opens up more about his investigation into his father's case and the whole gang starts to work together to figure out who is actually smuggling opium. Jom and Kaew start dating as well. Phop's family finds out about him dating Nakun/Klao and after some harsh words are spoken the fam decides to let the two be (they don't approve, but they also don't want to do anything harsh) and so they call off the engagement to Lady Varna. The gang uncovers clues about the opium smugglers and set up a plan to catch them. A lot of fighting and shenanigans ensue, Nakun finally remembers clearly what happened to Klao, the bad guys are caught, and everybody is happy. Nakun returns to the present, but is severely depressed and misses Phop, wishing he could return to the past. And that's everything that has happened between 6-11. The teaser for ep.12 looks like Nakun finds Phop in the present and is trying to get him to remember their past life together. I'd definitely recommend watching all the episodes, Phop and Klao's relationship building is super cute and the opium smuggling case is genuinely a good mystery. The series improves so much as the story progresses.
I think it prolly will air by the end of this year or beginning of next year(ofc ill be happy if they air it by…
The production company is not going to lie about the release date. And a series typically has 30-40Qs, in other words around a month's worth of filming. A series like this we can probably expect something closer to 50Qs, so around two months of filming within a three month time span if they're trying to finish all of filming before the series airs (which they don't have to btw).
I agree that it would be wild if he spent the last two years working on a project for it all to come to naught, but as far as we know that's what is happening. If anything Jeff might resort to reformatting the narrative to fit into music videos or maybe releasing the script as a novel. Since the script is his own original creation and Studio on Saturn is also his company how the story gets released is completely in his control. Right now though Happy Ending as a tv series is dead in the water. Trust me all of us want to see this project come into fruition, but until Jeff gives concrete information about filming than it's better to manage expectations.
Yeah, I don't know why I was thinking Q2 included July and August... But thanks for correcting me and for jumping in and explaining things more clearly to the op.
Okay, your optimism is cute and all, but this has not been filmed. Jeff publicly releases his monthly schedules. Nothing in his schedules has been for Happy Ending. He is currently in the middle of filming My Chef in Crime. Having a Q2 release for HE isn't impossible if he focuses solely on filming during the summer, but that's all that can be said about it. Stop spreading rumors that are in no way true.
I picked the wrong weekend to randomly catch up. Now I gotta WAIT for the next episode like a normal person. 🥹🥹🥹
Yeah, I did the same thing lol. I figured the big cliffhanger would be on ep7 not on ep6. Now we gotta wait a week to find out what happened to Gaysorn's mom. T^T)9
The product placements in this series are unbearable. It feels like a GMM show.
Lmao, I remember when watching Goddess Bless You From Death I just imagined Thup and Sing walking into a pharmacy and loading up a basket full of Counter Pain. I swear that product was placed in every other scene, they had so much of it on hand. I agree that the product placements here are a bit disjointed from the series. I feel like the series has a normal amount of product placements, but then there's only 8 episodes so it feels crammed in and they weren't fully integrated into the show making them feel out of place. Hopefully eps 7 and 8 don't have nearly as many and it'll be a more enjoyable watching experience.
Why do some people have a problem with aroace folks saying they consider SkyNani shows representation? This is…
That's what I've been asking. I've never encountered a fandom that was so dead set on being acephobic. I remember when bbc Merlin was still airing the majority of viewers shipped Merthur, but there was a small group of us who figured that Merlin was aroace cause he had zero interest in romance and he was vibing with dragons. Never saw a single hate comment about it. Same with Doctor Who, a lot of aces saw 11 as an ace character and nobody batted an eye about it. They're fictional characters it doesn't matter what head cannon fans come up with. We're all enjoying the series together, there's no need to bash someone else's opinions just because they're different. I'm so positive the majority of fujoshi on here aren't even part of the queer community tbh. I doubt they even know what the ally flag looks like. (Also saying that a character's sexuality is explicitly stated in a bl is a bit of an overstatement lol. I think about 90% of bl characters are bisexual and yet I can count on one hand the number of times any character has ever said the word bisexual. The writers really do just leave it up to the viewers to interpret a character's sexuality how they want.)

Present day Phop better show up with at least a queen size for him and Nakun.

Nani just silently standing in the back and struggling lol. :')
