I think it prolly will air by the end of this year or beginning of next year(ofc ill be happy if they air it by…
The production company is not going to lie about the release date. And a series typically has 30-40Qs, in other words around a month's worth of filming. A series like this we can probably expect something closer to 50Qs, so around two months of filming within a three month time span if they're trying to finish all of filming before the series airs (which they don't have to btw).
I agree that it would be wild if he spent the last two years working on a project for it all to come to naught, but as far as we know that's what is happening. If anything Jeff might resort to reformatting the narrative to fit into music videos or maybe releasing the script as a novel. Since the script is his own original creation and Studio on Saturn is also his company how the story gets released is completely in his control. Right now though Happy Ending as a tv series is dead in the water. Trust me all of us want to see this project come into fruition, but until Jeff gives concrete information about filming than it's better to manage expectations.
Yeah, I don't know why I was thinking Q2 included July and August... But thanks for correcting me and for jumping in and explaining things more clearly to the op.
Okay, your optimism is cute and all, but this has not been filmed. Jeff publicly releases his monthly schedules. Nothing in his schedules has been for Happy Ending. He is currently in the middle of filming My Chef in Crime. Having a Q2 release for HE isn't impossible if he focuses solely on filming during the summer, but that's all that can be said about it. Stop spreading rumors that are in no way true.
I picked the wrong weekend to randomly catch up. Now I gotta WAIT for the next episode like a normal person. 🥹🥹🥹
Yeah, I did the same thing lol. I figured the big cliffhanger would be on ep7 not on ep6. Now we gotta wait a week to find out what happened to Gaysorn's mom. T^T)9
The product placements in this series are unbearable. It feels like a GMM show.
Lmao, I remember when watching Goddess Bless You From Death I just imagined Thup and Sing walking into a pharmacy and loading up a basket full of Counter Pain. I swear that product was placed in every other scene, they had so much of it on hand. I agree that the product placements here are a bit disjointed from the series. I feel like the series has a normal amount of product placements, but then there's only 8 episodes so it feels crammed in and they weren't fully integrated into the show making them feel out of place. Hopefully eps 7 and 8 don't have nearly as many and it'll be a more enjoyable watching experience.
Why do some people have a problem with aroace folks saying they consider SkyNani shows representation? This is…
That's what I've been asking. I've never encountered a fandom that was so dead set on being acephobic. I remember when bbc Merlin was still airing the majority of viewers shipped Merthur, but there was a small group of us who figured that Merlin was aroace cause he had zero interest in romance and he was vibing with dragons. Never saw a single hate comment about it. Same with Doctor Who, a lot of aces saw 11 as an ace character and nobody batted an eye about it. They're fictional characters it doesn't matter what head cannon fans come up with. We're all enjoying the series together, there's no need to bash someone else's opinions just because they're different. I'm so positive the majority of fujoshi on here aren't even part of the queer community tbh. I doubt they even know what the ally flag looks like. (Also saying that a character's sexuality is explicitly stated in a bl is a bit of an overstatement lol. I think about 90% of bl characters are bisexual and yet I can count on one hand the number of times any character has ever said the word bisexual. The writers really do just leave it up to the viewers to interpret a character's sexuality how they want.)
If you don't mind the late reply...If you haven't seen My Beautiful Man definitely check that out. It's a jbl…
Ah that's fair. My Beautiful Man is one of those hit or miss shows tbh. It's not until end of the movie that the main character gets over his self-degradation bs and the two leads start having a healthy relationship. I probably wouldn't have gotten through s1 if I hadn't watched a crack vid of all of their dumb antics in the movie lol.
If it's airing in the beginning of September than we can expect the official trailer to drop around mid-august. Then we'll finally get to see what the cgi and sfx will look like. I'll watch the show regardless, but I think we can all agree that good cgi is better than bad cgi. I'm also curious to see how much the series is going to differ from the novel since the novel can barely even be described as fantasy or supernatural.
Does anyone have suggestions for BL shows/movies that are all about making each other better and healing each…
If you don't mind the late reply... If you haven't seen My Beautiful Man definitely check that out. It's a jbl with two seasons and a movie. The series is as lovely as it is painful to watch as the characters develop from being toxic to each other to accepting each other's love. The soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous as well. Also Love You Teacher is a great watch , it's a Thai bl that just finished airing. This series will have you crying in every episode, but it's also very bright, colorful, and it never feels bogged down with drama. The mixture of humor and tragedy are mixed perfectly right and the couple has a warm and heartfelt relationship that they hold onto as they help each other overcome their past traumas. And as a bonus The Grim Lover is an upcoming Thai series, it explores a relationship that develops after the MCs boyfriend dies. The pilot trailer is way more fantasy coded than the book is, so it may or may not be what you're looking for if you're looking for more slice of life style, but it'll probably still be a great series regardless. It's supposed to air around the end of this year.
For those who don't know how to block users it's actually very easy. You just go to their profile and click where it says "Add Friend," this is actually a drop down menu and it'll give you the option to block them from there. :)
This week's episode was so good~ I love the relationship building between Niran and Pete. Their interactions seriously made my heart flutter and I was giggling like a fool. Anyone who hates this type of character dynamic must be some kind of damaged. I'm also always so surprised to see how Sky and Nani are acting in this series, these roles are so different from their irl personalities. Sky is such a goofball (Tay's child for real, no DNA test needed lol), but Niran is so quiet and mature and gives off a commanding aura. Nani on the other hand is so soft and gentle, but Pete is a hot head ready to fight at any second. The way they've brought these characters to life is seriously impressive. I can't wait to see how they develop as the series continues.
I can't recall what is/are the actual, factual reason/s why they're marketed as a bromance and not a BL couple?…
I don't think there is any actual known reason just a lot of fan speculation. Could be a marketing strategy by GMM to have a non-bl ship to appeal to wider audiences. Could be that SkyNani just don't want to film intimate/nc scenes which go hand in hand with bls. Or maybe SkyNani could actually be acespec and want to represent the community. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As an aroace person myself, so far SkyNani’s characters have given off queer people in platonic relationships…
Ooh, I'm aroace too. Nice to meet someone in the club. :) Even if unintentional I'll accept any representation I can get. I just don't get the acephobic comments on here at all. Any other fandom I've seen with characters that are somewhat ace coded have been mostly accepting of aces and just let us have our headcannon lol. Even though fujoshi on MDL are a whole different breed from fujoshi on other parts of the internet so I guess it's not completely surprising.
How do I do it. I thought I have to write something then
1. Click on the tab that says "Episodes" 2. Click on an episode (each episode has it's own page) 3. Click on the stars which will open a pop up window prompting you to rate the episode 4. Click on the stars again to give your rating (you don't have to write anything if you don't want to) 5. Click "Submit Review" 6. Repeat steps 1-5 for each episode
Okay, something I need cleared up. Did Gaysorn's dad just work for the perfume company, or is he one of the three…
He just worked with Scent's dad and uncle. Where did you get three brothers from? And why does everybody keep thinking there's some weird incest plot happening?! 💀
I’m kind of disappointed that everything is revealed so early… we already know that the uncle is the bad guy…
We're midseason if you didn't realize. It'd be kind weird if didn't know who the baddies are at this point. There's only four episodes left to resolve all of the problems. We still don't know what happened to Gaysorn's mom. We saw Scent's uncle push Gaysorn's dad down the stairs, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's dead. He could be held prisoner paralyzed/in a coma like Scent's dad. Scent still doesn't realize that his uncle is manipulating him. If Scent doesn't use Gaysorn's scent to make a perfume does that mean that his company is going to go bankrupt? Will Gaysorn ever return to Mudan? Are Mata and Tawan actually going to go to Bangkok to find Gaysorn? Will we get to see TawanSun be a thing??? Are Ray and Mekin ever going to stop traumatizing Gaysorn at any point? And hopefully we get a wedding scene, cause PearlPeak's characters from Love in the Moonlight didn't get one.
Nani just silently standing in the back and struggling lol. :')
