Very true. In a company my husband was working for (about 15 years ago), a guy made a creepy comment to a girl, saying she looked so good she wouldn’t have any issues finding a job anywhere. Fired for sexual harassment. He never touched her, just a nasty comment - done.

I would be cheering for him if he was fighting the “lazy seniority” culture at work - that would be very progressive for his workplace. It would be also progressive to say to that bastard: “What you’re doing right now is a sexual harassment and I will report you for that”.

But this is not progressive, it’s just plain idiotic 🤦‍♀️ I have lived in the US for over 25 years, and I have yet to meet a “straight white male” who would behave like that! I have seen catcalls to women, but not something like this out of blue towards a man! Straight men by default are not interested in men 🤦‍♀️
Overall, the whole assignment of disgusting behavior to one group of people is disgusting in itself. So I don’t see anything progressive about it. If they were trying to show Pat’s “social awareness” or whatever - epic fail in my book.
Also, if Pat is so “americanized”, he better know what “micromanage” means. It’s used in the workforce much more often than “straight white male” as a perp. Oh, wait, I forgot he lived in LA 😂

I think this is one of the best depictions of workplace environment I’ve ever seen in a BL! Even though this particular environment is infested with lazy and obnoxious snakes (no offense to actual snakes). I’m pleasantly surprised that we don’t even get to see the actual product the company is advertising (unlike in some other series 🙄) - the plot is really centered around Pat with minimal product placement 👏🏻

I have to mention that casting did an awesome job with Jeng’s dad looking like an older version of Jeng! His daddy is so handsome! I believe this actor (Pete) was supposed to play Kinn’s father in the original production attempt. He looked like a serious mafia in the original trailer! 😻 Can’t wait to see more of him!

Does Tin think Park is a pervert who’s into kids? Him being embarrassed over his boner because Park won’t think he’s cute anymore was a bit strange and worrying for me.

I like Yutaro a lot, and I am glad he got casted here. I think he’s one of the cutest actors and fits this role perfectly. I think MLs look great together, and they are already connected since they’ve known each other (and probably liked each other) since school. I also agree with you on the reasons Yutaro’s character was upset - it was definitely not the case of a cheeky delivery boy telling off his customer. 🤦‍♀️

I guess they got such a backlash Pond figured he might as well do some damage control.
1. He shows up as a “voice of wisdom”.
2. They show they care about young actors.
3. They know some actors they are interested in have done questionable things that are searchable on the internet. So, as a preventative strike, air that dirty laundry first, while reminding the viewer that actors are people, too, and they should be able to get a job if they are no longer associated with what they said at the ripe age of 12. 🤷‍♀️
4. Get people invested into the new actors and get the company a new couple that is guaranteed views.

That’s my take on it, and I can’t say it’s completely nuts on their part. They gamble, but it could bring them good money.

Maybe just don’t repeat “you have to lie and manipulate your colleagues here” 🤦‍♀️ Just a thought 😂

I really don’t understand why a producer puts words into a boy’s mouth. When Perth said he’s never been bullied at school, just be happy for him! Instead, Pond says something like “But you actually were bullied. You’ve had your feelings hurt, right?” 😳 Dude, what’s he supposed to say? You’re his boss right now. Is he really going to fight you? Of course, Perth gives in with “Well, yeah”.
Good grief! Being bullied and “having your feelings hurt sometimes” are two completely different stories. Who hasn’t said anything offensive at school? Who hasn’t had their feelings hurt as a teenager? Please! Why is Pond trying to make a huge deal out of something that’s not? I don’t think it helps the actors here or people who actually experienced bullying.

Am I missing something because of translation? I really don’t want to think that this show is going straight for a shock value while manufacturing that value as it sees fit.

Thank you 😊 I don’t mind smut at all, I enjoy it as long as it makes sense to the plot and all the participants enjoy it. I definitely don’t like rapey stuff, though, and I do like good story! I would love a good story with smut in it 😉
