they've already established that pat lived in LA (a very progressive city) and how he and his friend group are…
Very true. In a company my husband was working for (about 15 years ago), a guy made a creepy comment to a girl, saying she looked so good she wouldnât have any issues finding a job anywhere. Fired for sexual harassment. He never touched her, just a nasty comment - done.
they've already established that pat lived in LA (a very progressive city) and how he and his friend group are…
Exactly. I think he picked up some âwokeâ language instead of âworkâ language. I would be cheering for him if he was fighting the âlazy seniorityâ culture at work - that would be very progressive for his workplace. It would be also progressive to say to that bastard: âWhat youâre doing right now is a sexual harassment and I will report you for thatâ.
they've already established that pat lived in LA (a very progressive city) and how he and his friend group are…
But this is not progressive, itâs just plain idiotic đ¤Śââď¸ I have lived in the US for over 25 years, and I have yet to meet a âstraight white maleâ who would behave like that! I have seen catcalls to women, but not something like this out of blue towards a man! Straight men by default are not interested in men đ¤Śââď¸ Overall, the whole assignment of disgusting behavior to one group of people is disgusting in itself. So I donât see anything progressive about it. If they were trying to show Patâs âsocial awarenessâ or whatever - epic fail in my book. Also, if Pat is so âamericanizedâ, he better know what âmicromanageâ means. Itâs used in the workforce much more often than âstraight white maleâ as a perp. Oh, wait, I forgot he lived in LA đ
Yeah, I donât know what being a straight white male has to do with being a sexual harasser đĄ It doesnât…
I donât know about Thailand, but that translation irked me to no end. Do they seriously think that all straight white males give a shit about guysâ asses? đ¤Śââď¸ What about straight white women? I swear I donât care about other womenâs boobs! đ
Yeah, I donât know what being a straight white male has to do with being a sexual harasser đĄ It doesnât…
That woube a better translation! I would say:âStop acting like a fucking pervert!â See? There you go - a behavior described exactly as it should be, not with a blanket statement that covers mostly innocent people đ¤ˇââď¸
That translation of whatever Pat said to the gross guy was offensive and non-applicable. "straight white male"?…
Yeah, I donât know what being a straight white male has to do with being a sexual harasser đĄ It doesnât make any logical sense to me. If heâs straight - he wouldnât think about another maleâs ass or sexual preferences. Being white is totally off the wall - race has nothing to do with this kind of disgusting behavior.
Seriously, what was that remark about? đ¤ˇââď¸
I would definitely punch that idiot and cuss him out, but that phrase wouldnât be on my mind - Iâd have some other words of choice. đ¤Ź
I think this is one of the best depictions of workplace environment Iâve ever seen in a BL! Even though this particular environment is infested with lazy and obnoxious snakes (no offense to actual snakes). Iâm pleasantly surprised that we donât even get to see the actual product the company is advertising (unlike in some other series đ) - the plot is really centered around Pat with minimal product placement đđť
I have to mention that casting did an awesome job with Jengâs dad looking like an older version of Jeng! His daddy is so handsome! I believe this actor (Pete) was supposed to play Kinnâs father in the original production attempt. He looked like a serious mafia in the original trailer! đť Canât wait to see more of him!
Does Tin think Park is a pervert whoâs into kids? Him being embarrassed over his boner because Park wonât think heâs cute anymore was a bit strange and worrying for me.
Our Dining Table and this one are both very character-driven and apparently they are both too much to grasp for…
I like Yutaro a lot, and I am glad he got casted here. I think heâs one of the cutest actors and fits this role perfectly. I think MLs look great together, and they are already connected since theyâve known each other (and probably liked each other) since school. I also agree with you on the reasons Yutaroâs character was upset - it was definitely not the case of a cheeky delivery boy telling off his customer. đ¤Śââď¸
That part didnât sit right with me either⌠why are they trying to put words in their mouths? Also, I didnât…
I guess they got such a backlash Pond figured he might as well do some damage control. 1. He shows up as a âvoice of wisdomâ. 2. They show they care about young actors. 3. They know some actors they are interested in have done questionable things that are searchable on the internet. So, as a preventative strike, air that dirty laundry first, while reminding the viewer that actors are people, too, and they should be able to get a job if they are no longer associated with what they said at the ripe age of 12. đ¤ˇââď¸ 4. Get people invested into the new actors and get the company a new couple that is guaranteed views.
Thatâs my take on it, and I canât say itâs completely nuts on their part. They gamble, but it could bring them good money.
Maybe just donât repeat âyou have to lie and manipulate your colleagues hereâ đ¤Śââď¸ Just a thought đ
I really donât understand why a producer puts words into a boyâs mouth. When Perth said heâs never been bullied at school, just be happy for him! Instead, Pond says something like âBut you actually were bullied. Youâve had your feelings hurt, right?â đł Dude, whatâs he supposed to say? Youâre his boss right now. Is he really going to fight you? Of course, Perth gives in with âWell, yeahâ. Good grief! Being bullied and âhaving your feelings hurt sometimesâ are two completely different stories. Who hasnât said anything offensive at school? Who hasnât had their feelings hurt as a teenager? Please! Why is Pond trying to make a huge deal out of something thatâs not? I donât think it helps the actors here or people who actually experienced bullying.
Am I missing something because of translation? I really donât want to think that this show is going straight for a shock value while manufacturing that value as it sees fit.
I was wondering if anyone ever would attempt to do an omegaverse story. It would be interesting to see. Granted,…
Thank you đ I donât mind smut at all, I enjoy it as long as it makes sense to the plot and all the participants enjoy it. I definitely donât like rapey stuff, though, and I do like good story! I would love a good story with smut in it đ Thank you for your recommendation! I will try it đ
Was that you? đ
