Why would I want to know the ending when I can just watch it myself?
oh, yeah, that was the drama that did it for me, also. Unless I know I'm absolutely watching a romcom, there are no historical, fantasy or costumer dramas I watch without knowing what type of ending it has.
I was furious about "Rise of Phoenix" ending for days.
I know better than to have any expectations or hopes for shows nowadays, but I'm looking forward to this one because of the cast. These are all seasoned, skilled actors, so I really, really hope the script lives up to their talent.
It's disappointing. (More disappointing is how long I watched for this in the "Worth the Wait" section at Netflix. Months. At least 6. I know better than to get my hopes up, but still. ) This could have been such a sexy, edgy, tight drama but instead, it's . . . flat. The mistake this drama makes: it takes its young, talented cast, dresses them prettily, and then shoves them into a plot that never rises much above a monotone.
I'm curious, I don't watch as much stuff as I did back then so our mileages may vary, but all 3 of the dramas…
I'm waiting for "Lovely Runner" to finish, but I have hopes for that one. I also liked "Marry My Husband" (12 episodes of it, at least). I dropped "Doctor Slump" and "Queen of Tears". I had hopes for both of those, so that was disappointing. "Wedding Impossible" was a big disappointment. "Impossible Heirs", don't get me started. Etc.
More drops than re-watches for me, so that makes this year, so far, a dud.
this looks dark! I can do dark, angst and intense but it better end happy *fingers crossed* i love Liu Yu Ning…
Yes! That is magic success formula: dark is fine, angst is okay, intense is even better, but show must have a happy ending or else it's just a dumpster fire from start to finish.
Could be YT's stupid algorithm that keeps serving me up trailers to this show for days now, but I think it's coming soon (ish). Wouldn't be surprised if this was out by the end of May, early June.
No one plowed new ground with this mini drama, but everyone is pretty, there's a tiny, but fun level of kink, and it's short. It isn't going to be to everyone's taste, but I liked it--well enough to watch it again later.
Biggest gripe is that the version I watched had white English subtitles right on top of white Mandarin subtitles, which is a nightmare. Better than no subtitles, I guess.
I recently watched this show again, giving it the attention the second time I didn't give it the first time I watched it.
It's a good, entertaining show. Should have been 12 episodes. Episodes 1-10 are excellent. Skip episodes 11 - 14 which are unnecessary nonsense, and then watch episodes 15 and 16, or just episode 16.
This is a title like "Sh**ting Stars" which my brain never failed to translate as "Shitting Stars". I thought that show was slow and boring, but, to be fair, I think that show's title may have had something to do with my overall not liking it.
This show gave itself a black eye already with its title. I'm no marketing genius (wait, yes, I am) but why start your show off with a prejudicial title like this?
