Waited for the last 6 episodes to be subbed. For days. Days, I'm telling you. And then when the episodes finally showed up, I started eagerly watching episode 19, and then I lost my will to live. Turns out, I just didn't want to get back in a show with a raging, adulterous SFL with obvious mental health issues, and a cheating bastard of a ML.
There are at least 3 versions of this drama--this one, which is quite bad, the Thai version, which is really bad, and the Taiwan version (the original), which is . . . not good.
Try to resist the temptation to watch any version of this show.
I think they definitely survived and it's not a dream or reincarnation. Many c-drama MLs and FLs have survived…
Just letting you know how much I enjoyed your review of the drama. I could only make it half way, but if anything could convince me to give it another shot, it would be your review.
we don't know why she is around in a lot of scenes tbh as absolutely useless as this blunder broad is. But here…
She's on her back leg now, but stay tuned.
Yeon Do's ex will be coming back very soon, and he'll be returning with the knowledge that his baby (that he suddenly discovers he desperately needs) is being developed in someone else's relationship. The rest of the show is going to be about how he and Se Jin conspire to break up the lovebirds.
Well, this is quite bad, but it's entertaining. Like you're driving on a freeway in Los Angeles, when all of a sudden there's a crash involving all 8 lanes and 16 cars, and and heads are flying out windows. Yeah, bad like that. All the characters suck, terribly. There's literally no one to root for in the show, and since you dislike everyone, you don't care at all who winds up with whom.
Isn't it fun and refreshing when you couldn't give a rat's butt whether there's a HE or not?
Skip this one. Besides being a truly wretched drama, I think it might be bad for your mental health.
There are scripts for shows out there for Pong that make the best use of his experience and years in the industry, I'm sure of it.
But he's 44 and the FL is 28, and this is a gap that's unlikely to be successfully reduced in this drama. I understand that the FL benefits from being paired with such a talented and experienced actor, just as the ML benefits from the youth and beauty of this actress.
But ick. That's my personal opinion. A fourteen year age gap is not it.
I don't know that I agree or not with all your points, but I'm enjoying the hell out of your rants. Pretty sure if I read all of them, you're going to get to the things in this show that are bugging the crap out of me.
Welp. The writer is giving me now a drama she wants me to watch instead of the drama I wanted to watch. I get that we need Jang Se Jin for a little "man vs. man" thematic tension, but a little of this liar goes a long way and right now I'm getting too damn much. Not really looking for a drama that makes my blood boil every week, so I hope this character's presence gets reduced or tempered, or I'm out until it ends.
I'm watching this now because it's leaving Netflix and it's not bad. Pretty good. But damn. The music in this show doesn't fit well, it's repetitive and it's too damn loud. Almost ruins the show. That "Stand by Your Man" song was always dumb as hell, but being forced to listen to it twice in every episode has really made me hate it.
