I am defending, generally, writers who produce content that is not in line with our values and judgments, and pushing back specifically against your statement that writers who produce content you don't approve of are mentally and morally "not right".

Not an expert in Japanese culture, so I can't provide specific information about that, except to say that all writers reflect the rules or laws and customs of their environment. Writing is a solitary activity, usually (except for entertainment/script writers, who may write as individuals in a group), but even so, a Japanese writer is going to reflect Japanese culture, and not, say, the culture of Pakistan.

Entertainment writers aren't writing in a cultural vacuum, devoid of any awareness of the zeitgeist of their time.

If they're writing morally ambiguous material, it's because they think there's an audience for it.

This drama was two things I find unforgivable: 1) pointless and 2) boring. Skip this. Trust me.

He's the lead in "Beautiful Gong Shim", which was quite a good romantic comedy. He's been in several other rom coms and romantic dramas.

Well, damn. It seems impossible, but I'm getting attached to . . . halmeoni. I think she'll turn out to be one of my favorite characters, in spite of wanting her dead in the first 6 episodes. Isn't that weird?

Interesting story, and it's moving right along. The FL is annoying af though--angsty, fragile, hot headed--the kind of character, the more exposure you get, the more you want to dunk her in a bucket. For sure, she's been treated badly in the past, and that's why she's about as stable as a wind sock in high winds, but I hope she settles down or Ima look for that bucket.

Woah. It's not that there are many negative reviews. It's that the negative reviews are mentioning the things I really dislike in a drama, and if you have to put up with all that just to get to a lousy ending, wow. Maybe just watch "Love Between Fairy and Devil" again instead?

The thing about getting arrested for driving under the influence is that it's not ever the first time someone drove in that condition. This driver is extremely lucky to have been caught before she had an accident that killed someone.

In-car devices you have to blow into before you can start your car are, at most, an inconvenience for a determined but intoxicated driver, principally because they're easily bypassed by having someone else blow in them.

The ratings for weekend dramas are almost always 20% or higher, unless the show is a dog. Then, the ratings are in the high teens.

Waited for the last 6 episodes to be subbed. For days. Days, I'm telling you. And then when the episodes finally showed up, I started eagerly watching episode 19, and then I lost my will to live. Turns out, I just didn't want to get back in a show with a raging, adulterous SFL with obvious mental health issues, and a cheating bastard of a ML.

There are at least 3 versions of this drama--this one, which is quite bad, the Thai version, which is really bad, and the Taiwan version (the original), which is . . . not good.

Try to resist the temptation to watch any version of this show.

Just letting you know how much I enjoyed your review of the drama. I could only make it half way, but if anything could convince me to give it another shot, it would be your review.

Trailer looks intriguing. Viki has it in their "Coming Soon" queue (so they'll probably start airing it around Christmastime. snerk.)

As I recall, she ends up with the new guy, but I only watched it once, a long time ago.
