Thanks to all who've commented about the abuse of a horse in this show. I find on-screen animal abuse unbearable. If I'd come across that scene unaware, it would have shaken me up pretty badly.
I’m not trying to argue here but I’m just curious about the marketing thing. Can you name some title examples…
I think "All of Us are Dead" and "Squid Game" are really great titles. They're memorable, and they make you curious about the shows. Cdrama titles are tougher, since their titles seem to be translated so literally.
If you look at MDL's top-rated shows list for Cdramas, all of the first 20 titles are really good. ("Sword Snow Stride" and "Sweet Teeth" are iffy, though.)
I think one of the worst Cdrama titles I'd ever seen was "About is Love", but it's still better than "Memory of Encaustic Tile". Even after I looked that one up to find out what the hell "encaustic tile" was, I still had no interest in watching a show that's about tiles. (And the show isn't about tiles, really--but that's another reason why the title is so bad.)
Mydramalist system is broken, why is this not yet airing drama already a top #1Chinese airing drama in front page…
People rate or downrate dramas a lot of the time for reasons that have nothing to do with the show itself, which is what they're doing here. It's got its rating now from just two raters.
My opinion, drama rating function should not be turned on until the drama airs.
The ML is controlling, jealous, somewhat obsessive, picks the FL up in a bridal carry at the drop of a hat, and where's a huge bandaid on his neck in every episode--to cover up an untelevisable tattoo, I'm guessing. The FL is not a dummy, doesn't trip over her own feet, cry like a baby over nothing, whine, or do the usual annoying FL Cdrama things.
Watch if this is your type of ML, and you've got some patience with a slow plot roll out..
You have right to believe whatever you wentExcept the Nazis comment which should be changed by the author, this…
Is this directed at me? All may speak on whatever they wish (depending on speech laws of the country where they live.) That includes me. I spoke my mind, as did you. Let's call it a day, shall we?
At least the FL wasn't a typical Cdrama ditz. I watched all 70 episodes with my finger on the FF button, I couldn't help it. Also, much as I love Johnny Huang, I love him lots less when he plays these tiresome boyish prats over and over.
I meant to add that your comment about Nazis bothers me. A lot.I don't care if they had families or had changes…
Thanks for clarifying.
A lot of people in pre-war Germany were, indeed, forced to represent outwardly that they were Nazis so that they could survive, but I don't think identifying unwilling people who had no other choice as "Nazis" is what anyone means when they're using the word.
I've talked elsewhere about this drama's controversy, so what I'll say here is that many Koreans think that people…

I don't care if they had families or had changes of heart or "became good people". Nazis subscribe(d) to an ideology that submitted 12,000,000 people--at least half of whom were Jews--to rape, torture, beatings and their ultimate deaths.
People who subscribe(d) to this ideology are failures as human beings, and there should be no attempt ever to make anything about them anything except evil.
I've talked elsewhere about this drama's controversy, so what I'll say here is that many Koreans think that people outside South Korea are underestimating the importance of the Democracy movement to them. Many, many Koreans are so hurt by indifference to this history, and what the Democracy movement cost them. It's a fresh, deep wound, and efforts to close it up or whitewash it (which is one of the things they perceive this drama is attempting to do) are going to go over like a flaming bag of poop.
I'm going to honor them and stand in solidarity. Not watching a drama that is painful to them is the least I can do.
Well, you can watch it raw then? You didn't have to annoy yourself and watch it there. I didn't have a problem…
The servers buffered every 5 seconds for me, too. And it was annoying,
But she is an angel for subbing this lakorn, and I'm incredibly glad to be able to watch the show. Any criticism of people who sub Thai programs needs to be done from a position of respect and gratitude.
Author is not spreading hate. Don't be absurd. If the article isn't to your liking, just click the back button on your browser. Problem solved.
I thought the article was great, personally.

Thank you for asking me for an opinion!

I'm commenting on this:
"There are movies showing Nazis in a good light – they were people, they had families, they had changes of heart and became good people."
