The show ends undramatically, but honestly. This is a typical ending for affairs, I think. There are a lot of fireworks, and then the marriage breaks. The cheater spouse may marry the person they were cheating with, but this isn't as common as you'd think. If they DO marry, that marriage breaks, and quickly. The original spouses may end up being friends with each other (I'm friends with my ex decades later.)
This drama turned out to be more slice of life than I expected, but it was well worth the watch.
The difficulty for watching any of these is finding them subbed. The world, and the several if not many trolls who live on it have made it very hard for the Thai subbing community.
Aw. It was lovely. I started watching this and then stopped for awhile, and then I binged it to the end. I'm very glad I came back. My second favorite Cdrama, after Story of Yanxi Palace.
The big "hits" of 2019 (like Hotel Luna, Untamed, etc.) I haven't been able to get through even the first episode. I'm liking VIP quite a lot, but that's been about it, so I'm also rewatching classics like Oh My Venus and Coffee Prince.
This is a show you want to binge watch. At the end of the last weekly episode, I'm dying to watch the next one and the wait isn't easy. Worried about how it ends already, but I like the show so much more than I expected to,
Nice! I'd like to watch a Chinese drama, but I'm scared of the ep length lol
Watch "The Story of Yanxi Palace". That was a drama where every episode contributed to the plot, and none of the episodes dragged. Everything about it was exceptional: the writing, cinematography, acting, costumes--everything is just superb. But if it still seems daunting to watch the drama because of the number of episodes, you might try watching the series on a website where you can change the playback speed of the website's player to 1.25. This is only the tiniest amount of speedup, and you will barely notice the change. (Try it with lakorns, especially. Those can be really draggy.)
Yes, I like it better than before, too. (There's one song that is not good because the singer is off key and flat, but I've only heard it twice, and the rest of the songs are okay.)
I lol'd--most of the time because there are moments that are really funny. But some of the time because of the moments that are ridiculous or cringey. The OST is maybe the worst I've heard in two years, which I didn't care about at all because the sound effects are very, very good.
It's lovely and fun. Accept it the way it is and get over what it isn't, and you'll like it so much.
Not the era of Chinese history I generally like, and my Spidey sense is telling me that this drama is not trying too hard to be factually accurate.
I'm up to episode 12. I think Deng Lun's costumes are absurd and the dubbing is terrible. Also, I think all the characters are really over acting. I'll stay with it because I like the plot but large parts of every episode are completely skippable.
Oh my. Now this is what a lakorn should be, in all its wretched glory. There's screaming. There's slapping. There's boyfriend stealing. There's ridiculously inappropriate office clothing. It's so deliciously over the top, and I'm only on episode 4. I hate everyone in the drama, which means I don't have to care how it ends, I can just relax and roll with awesome badness this show is. Honestly, if you have a love/hate relationship with lakorns, you won't want to miss this one.

You'd need a flashlight and a crowbar to pry the meaning out of that sentence.
